Project Blindface, with the right funding, would be dramatically built around this concept of horror. A deus ex that played like STALKER or resident evil where you try to answer the final mystery, 'who murdered the world?' And fight all monstrous things now eating their way out of its ragged corpse.

The vast majority of horror is built around the terror of an bad ending and an unanswered question, the tension and obsession of following that answer to its conclusion and the horror that the truth is worse than you could imagine

People were told horror and comedy are two sides of the same coin, they were partially right. Horror and comedy have the same structure, pacing and payoff, but a lot how it is executed is fundamentally different I propose the true NARRATIVE counterpart to horror is mystery

The thing I love most about this world is that it is so diverse in the number of things that have gone wrong, that with the right budget I can have diff plot threads & "monsters of the week" style one off stories running throughout. It's a perfect platform to just explore horror in its many facets

I love this vibe a lot. My favorite games in the world have this vibe. My favorite nights in the world have this vibe. I hope this ends up being a real game to oggle at!

People sometimes ask me about Moon Game, which is like... the Ultimate Form of this world, and is a fully open world game set in this city.

This makes me wish I was a detective with a gravelly voice and habit of smoking cheap cigars. Well, I got the voice at least lol

yeah, the color change did a lot to help make it more readable and add depth/focal points also, your list reminds me, I need to finally buy The City of Lost Children on blu-ray, been too damn long since I last watched it

THE ATMOSPHERE

In case you missed it, Mischief just announced our first game since Adios!!!!!! It's in a city @pabastien.bsky.social and I have been dreaming about for years, and is a postmodern pastiche of... all the games we didn't make! And there will be a shotgun in it. ;)
