Here's my contribution to the Furry Space Opera Literary Landscape. The Foxxoverse as we've been calling it for a while now is a multimedia project about the people living in the shadow of the exploitative and dysfunctional Volnic Empire. Art by @tofutiles.bsky.social for @radicalden.com

..."bestseller?!" Well damn! #FurryLit #BookSky

One more week to pick up some books for 15% off at Doppelfoxx for #FurryBookMonth! Helkite is right there! Where else can you get a sci-fi novel about furries AND giant robots (No really, tell me I wanna read it! ;o;) #furrymecha #mecha #furrylit #furryscifi #furry

I dont know if I know what this means. I spend my entire life in a state of perpetual angst. #QueerWritersChat

Erbauer can be reasoned with. He can cast death ward on me and we can call it even when it pops. Thaumiel on the other hand, will twin cast disintegrate as a bonus action, then twin cast disintegrate as an action, and then I will have no arms or legs and he will laugh at me.

Ai cannot hack an offline wallet (book) in a format that I cannot interface with (paper), convert your vulnerable digital currency into my friend's books today

They quoted me in this New Yorker piece about AI today. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...

"My heart burns like the sunlight" type shit

Shit I can't benefit from being invisible today. I KNEW I shouldn't have prepared Greater Invisibility this morning...

Guess who got a story into @thevoice.dog ... #Foxxoverse

I have not written this much in a long time guys I got blisters on me fingers

I haven't vanished I promise I've just been really busy. #Foxxoverse is kinda going hard right now.

I made an Instagram! I have no idea how the platform works. Follow me anyway!

Did you know @rosequartz08.bsky.social had a bunny sona? Its not a story the Jedi will tell you.

And day to day, life's a hard job, you get tired, you lose the pattern. You need distance, interval. The way to see how beautiful the earth is, is to see it as the moon. The way to see how beautiful life is, is from the vantage point of death.

The game is called Fate. A game about self-determination, cooperation, duty, and the willingness to stand up in the face of tyranny. And there is absolutely no way its propaganda. At all.

Kitlia please forgive me but I'm goin rogue with fhe worldbuilding again... #Foxxoverse

Ladies, please. Its SNEKtember.

The Volnic Empire inherited a strange sort of behavior from the Auriat Republic they overthrew to become the eminent power in the galaxy: a robust and fruitful superweapons program. In a way, the terrifying Auriat Titan is like an ancestor to The Wind Runner. I wonder which would win.. -Mistø

Got a little invite to submit to an upcoming #furrymecha anthology... Decided that Kal and SYL have been overdue for some spotlight so, sat down and finished the outline for Myth & Metal--then dropped 1800 words on a first draft. #furrylit #amwtiting

Does this coat make my beak look big?

I have been told that the number one thing a writer can do to improve their craft is to live life. My life has shown me that togetherness and community is the greatest thing there is. It's the real act of resistance. It's the way you fight the dark. I can't wait to write that story someday.

No lore today, WFS up in Kenmore instead, feat. @rosequartz08.bsky.social @furlifenw.bsky.social thanks for putting on such a fun event!! Pictures not mine, but are of me and the crew!

“I am no slave. I am the master of these lands.” Said the Reeve. “Then you are slave and fool both.” Said Saru. And the Reeve loosed his arrow. #Foxxoverse

The life of a furry writer: Read #Helkite at my day job Plot outlining! Convene with the artists for Wind Runner redesign/finalization Conceal jealousy about not having art skills Blast ivycomb on the way home (Antihuman tomorrow!) Curse Bluesky for not having better analytics...

Do I love or hate furries headlining at WorldCon? I was so afraid to write in the fandom because I was worried a publisher would be like 'I don't wanna be associated with that.' But also, the fandom has been so good to me, I want to give back to it, and this feels like legitimacy... Super weird.

Design notes for Kal were basically: Constantly grumpy. Killdozer guy meets Megas XLR. Heart in the right place but the worst methods. SYL on the other hand is more interesting. What if an AI grew into its own person? What if it learned from its programming and former pilots? Who would it be?

Me reskeeting my own post from RDS on my personal account to add more context

The Empress is a character I went back and forth a LOT on as the political context around us changed throughout the development of the story. I think we've reached a point now where she can be both victim and perpetrator. And I like that so much more than simply defining her one way. #Foxxoverse

We conceived of the Dominion as a way to limit the amount of territory the Volnic Empire has control over. I didnt think it was feasible one society could control every world in an entire galaxy. Plus, I really like the idea that there are worlds that the Empire hasn't taken. Yet. #Furrylit

The story is fire. The art is fire. I am burning. Someone call someone. #Helkite #Furrylit #Amreading

Hair under a thousand words on some cultural mythology that can be summed up as: "What if Sargon of Akkad was a bird, and also was also every other mythological hero at the same time and also they were an enby badass who was fight bros with the wind" #Foxxoverse #Furrylit #Worldbuilding

RAAAAAAAAH IM SO READY #Furrylit #Helkite #AmReading

Oh shit sniper got him.. Anyway. The CLF are fighters, they're community builders, protectors of culture and people who might be vulnerable to Imperial subjugation. Liberating planets. Supplying rebels. Getting people what they need to survive. "Wherever you are, we'll be there too." #Furrylit

Its evident in everything from the star of the system being referred to as Godseye, the eye of Mother Psironis. The three moons of Inos being referred to as the Triune Sisters. Dawnspire named after an idyllic oasis described in many of the oldest hymns -Mistø #Foxxoverse #Furrylit #Worldbuilding

Not texts the way we might think of them. The Sunsingers, an ancient religion from Inos still practiced by some Imperial citizens today actually carries their mythological tradition in songs. Though the Empire has officially distanced themselves from the religion, its impact on culture is clear.
