Mitch went on to study and teach poetry writing (unlike Lennon, who, thankfully, did not). Nowadays he mostly crouches between song & poetry trying to fit the one into the other, right where he thinks they belong.

You might call “Take Your Time” a “Funcomfortable” song . . . a little heretical, a bit blunt, & just irreverent enough to be funny—with a rockin’ groove—bc that’s one way to face up to one’s mortality. Rage, rage against the dying of the light? For sure. And with a little laugh & a tap of the toe.

Still making my way from Facebook & threads, but why not post the thing I care about most? I spent some time at Electric Wilburland with Will Russel mixing a pair of songs I hope will be out in the coming months. Will knows his engineering shit, and he will teach it as he does it. Always edifying.
