The man who has spent more money on politics in the last 2 years than George Soros has in his entire lifetime never says anything positive about his guy Ken Paxton. But he does serve up a steady diet of this stuff.

We need to build a monument to the men and women who defended the Capital on Jan. 6. It needs to be front and center at the capital. And it needs to be large enough that you can not enter the capital without walking by it.

I will be subscribing to this. Sign me up!

CBS and Bari Weiss may have created their own biggest competitor. Reports say journalists fired from 60 Minutes are planning to reunite with former exec. producer Bill Owens working bring on Scott Pelley, and other former correspondents/producers. This is how you do it.

Anyone taking bets on 1) What day Mitch will finally put in a “Live” appearance, or 2) What week the announcement starting “It is with great sadness that…” I’m betting 2nd week of August for #2.

While there are good men in politics, I’m sick and tired of having that niggling little thought in the back of my mind that’s asking “Yeah, but, does this guy we support Now do or does some fucked up things to women? Are we going to find something out up at the 11th hour again?”

We needed Hillary. We really needed Kamala. I’d LOVE Michelle (one can hope and dream, can’t we?) I’d be very happy with a Crockett, Whitmer, AOC or a Hochel. Or any Obama daughter. Please, in my life time!

(3 of 3) The only way to vote, and the only party to vote for, is the one that still holds that democracy sacred and is trying to preserve it. The other party has already shown us where they stand.

(2 of 3)We know the history & we are able to see the signs. We can record what’s going on instantly and stream it in real time with our phones. For any American to not vote, to pretend to be “undecided” or to vote republican is to vote to end American democracy and be complicit in it’s destruction.

open.substack.com/pub/thomhart... (1 of 2) I always wondered happened in Germany before the rise of Hitler which makes the outcome of this election so important and why it would be inexcusable for anyone in America not to vote because we have what the Germans did not in the “30’s.

open.substack.comPolice State: Are We Already There and Just Don't Know It?History shows that police states aren't declared: they're assembled piece by piece, until one day ordinary people realize the freedoms they once took for granted have quietly disappeared…

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month! Mindful that biology’s been weaponized against the LGBTQ community by people who don’t know much about biology, I’m making daily, queer, biologically themed posts for #PrideMonth2026 6/12: Wild sheep are super gay. So are domesticated sheep. You can’t pray the gay out of sheep

I really hope those that have been forced out at CBS ban together to form a new show in the model of 60 minutes, maybe call it 60 minutes + 1. Same format, same reporting, even harder hitting, on a platform no one can fire you over.

Full statement of Scott Pelley after he's fired from CBS 60 Minutes, detailing the sort of corruption of journalism Bari Weiss has brought to CBS News:

Same!

As long as Democratic leaders are considering approving ICE funding if reforms are made, I won't be contributing. The only sane path forward is a complete termination of all ICE facilities, operations, and agents. There is no scenario where ICE is acceptable. I will not live in a police state.

Hawaii just enacted a law that effectively neuters Citizens United. Montana could soon follow suit via a ballot referendum. Here's what you should know about the plans to get Big Money out of politics — and how they could be replicated where you live.

Remember when Christians asked atheists how they could be moral if they didn’t believe in God? I’d like to ask how Christians can be so immoral when they believe in God!

JD Vance is what would happen if Dunning and Kruger had a baby, and then dropped it on its head. and yet, he has the utter gall to tell THE POPE to shut his mouth about theology. I mock the shit out of all of this in today's post. thank you for your attention. link is here: bit.ly/4dPzNAO

What the actual FUCK! We have now begun military operations in Ecuador! What does he have to do to get impeached? Because covering for pedophiles, raping woman and children hasn't been enough. And if you wait until AFTER he starts WWIII I'd say that's a bit too late!

The ICE surge in Minnesota cost $280M to detain 4k people. Of those- only 30 were accused of violent crimes. $9 million per capture of the "worst of the worst". Renee Good and Alex Pretti were unavailable for comment….

I’ve come to realize that the idea that “no one is above the law” is an American fiction. It will never be true if the wealthy and powerful can manipulate the system, are not held to the same account and can just buy off legal fees that are ruinous to everyone else. They ignore court orders…

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

America gave up kings 250 years ago and adopted a system in which “no one is above the law.” But presidents? SCOTUS gives them immunity. Corporations? SCOTUS makes it easier for them to pollute. Billionaires? SCOTUS says they can buy elections. The legacy of the John Roberts Supreme Court.

@schumer.senate.gov You’re out of touch. ICE is brutally and violently attacking innocent people, guns drawn, detaining people for extended periods of time, children! No due process. Violating people’s rights—no access to lawyers, phone calls, clean water. DO NOT FUND DHS/ICE! 🛑🧊

Remember her name: Aliya Rahman Her testimony is everything and it deserves to be heard, by everyone. Decide for yourself. It’s powerful. It’s gut-wrenching. And no one should have to survive what she did. ICE MUST GO‼️

What they can do is block the cars and agents from moving or filling their vehicles. What they can do is surround the places they sleep and blast them with sound and light. What they should do is arrest any of them 4 any infraction & throw their sorry asses in jail and then slow walk their release.
