Wow. This book was great company as I recovered from Covid this week. It was impossible to put down and taught me so much. A heartbreaking, yet hopeful book about middle schooler Mo who is living with his father who has schizophrenia. Although his mom isn’t around, Mo realizes there are others 1/2

around him who care deeply about him and can help him navigate the challenges he and his father are facing. I love how Saadia Faruqi embeds folktales throughout the story, bringing Mo’s passions to life. An outstanding must read, coming out next month! Thank you for sharing with #BookAllies

I’ve been sick for a few days, but today I’m feeling a little better and up for some reading! Diving into The Strongest Heart by Saadia Faruqi! I’ve loved every book I’ve read by Saadia, so I’m extra excited for this read 💜 #BookAllies

Look out world! Nearly two years ago @mrschureads.bsky.social gifted this sketchbook to Noah for him to jot down his story ideas. Noah has been waiting and waiting for true inspiration to strike and tonight’s the night! He has an idea for a MG NIV and he’s very excited to get started!

Finished Tear This Down this morning! Loved it so much. A powerful book by @barbaradee.bsky.social about standing up for what you believe in and making change in a positive way. MG kids and beyond will be inspired to learn about their own local “heroes”, spend time in their libraries, and 1/2

celebrate people who have made a positive impact on others. Readers will also be inspired to follow their own passions, support their friends, and push back against gender stereotypes. Add to your TBR list!! #BookAllies

This book by Brooke Hartman and Maria Garcia is fantastic! Each page is full of fascinating facts about cute animals and what makes them dangerous. My five year old AND my ten year old both love it and beg for “just one more page!” Definitely preorder! #BookAllies

Ava Lin One of a Kind is a sweet read full of important lessons for kids about kindness, friendship & doing what’s right. Perfect read aloud for k/first grade and great independent reading for 2nd and 3rd graders. I love this series and can’t wait to read more! @fangmousbooks.bsky.social #BookAllies

As a parent of a child w/a life-long invisible illness that causes chronic pain… As a teacher… as a human being… this story was heart-wrenching honest, open, depressing, full of love, and full of stoic hope. Sweeney takes full advantage of comics &makes us emotionally involved

Please Pay Attention by Jamie Sumner is a phenomenal and heartbreaking book that every adult and lawmaker needs to read the second it publishes in April. An upper grade NIV that tackles the subject of school shootings in a very honest and thoughtful way. (1/2)

A book that will hopefully open a lot of eyes to how insane it is that this keeps happening and yet nothing is done to protect children and staff in schools. I love Bea so much and you will too. Preorder for sure. Thank you, Jamie, for this outstanding book. 💜 #BookAllies

YA NIV about friendship, struggle & the difficult decisions one has to make when their friends make bad choices. A powerful book that’s impossible to put down. Beautiful, thought provoking, heartbreaking. I loved every page of this book by Rex Ogle. Preorder immediately, pubs in March 💜 #BookAllies

Leanna picked this gem from the library and we both loved it so much! Harriet Ziefert captured me perfectly and turned me into a cute little bird 😆 Leanna and I laughed through this adorable graphic novel for young readers!
