The dust from yesterday is settling, I want to do a shoutout to @depot.dev Building Bref container images with patched PHP versions took minutes, sometimes seconds. Thanks to them, apps on Bref could be patched in 31 minutes after the vulnerability was published ❤️

PHP ships a critical security release today at 14:00 UTC (PHP 8.2+ only) what it means for Bref: - we'll update PHP (Lambda layers + Docker images) after new versions are out - then: `composer update bref/bref` and redeploy

can't believe we actually built this in 48h 😂

after 48 hours, using the most productive stack in the wolrd: php, laravel, phpstorm, air, we are proud to introduce: dev-null.sh; social network for developers; sign-in with github, done!

ok everyone. tomorrow. 24 hours from now the ternary brothers are assembling on the jetbrains rooftop we’re building the best social media planet earth has ever seen (all live on youtube) stack: air + laravel + php www.youtube.com/live/6zCNQa3...

I created the `/address-pr-review` skill for PRs: - reads CI status and comments - skips resolved comments - considers each comment: fix the code or push back - replies in GitHub - loop until done All the review is now in the PR, I love it youtu.be/H0nlAvQ6Jlo

When a deployment fails, Bref now shows the actual error from AWS at the top of the deployment page and in the terminal, instead of a vague CREATE_FAILED line. That helps AI agents too: with bref logs, they can figure out why a deploy failed and fix it.

Hello Aurora DSQL 🤩 - PostgreSQL compatible, creates in <1min - no instances, scales to zero, no cold start - billed per request, starts at $0 - redundant & multi-AZ OOTB - no VPC/NAT

I think I finally found a truly serverless database ✨

I rewrote it following feedback. `php-fpm` now includes the CLI, to avoid "hardcoding" FPM into `php` forever. Same final result. Just symlink `php-fpm` to `php` and you have the CLI. Kind of like FrankenPHP including the CLI. wiki.php.net/rfc/single-b...

My first PHP RFC: a single binary for CLI and FPM 🎉 Instead of `php` + `php-fpm`, just use `php --fpm`: - 26 MB saved - 70ms saved on cold starts in Lambda - one `php` CLI that does it all wiki.php.net/rfc/single-...

On Bref Cloud, opening a trace now also shows the logs for that invocation. Timeline above, logs below. Warnings, errors, and stack traces without jumping to CloudWatch or a separate log viewer.

Opus 5.5 is just incredible. It's Fable but I can't hit any limit. I'm fixing sooo many papercuts that accumulated on Bref over the last years. I have it working across dozens of repositories, code quality is excellent, I don't see how things can get any better than this 🤯

I’ll be in London Monday and Tuesday. If you’ve set up an interesting workflow with AI let me know, I’d love to interview you (small podcast) Also always interested for coffee or beers! (I’ll miss the Laravel meetup 😢)

A big unlock for me was giving Claude a way to test end to end. I.e. instead of thinking what permissions to open, I gave it an empty AWS account, credentials, a dedicated branch (sandbox) and environment, and let it use it fully. Then I restricted (keys, cost limits, alerts, daily cleanup, etc).

Game changer, it can test things I never thought about, it experiences scenarios that users see that I wouldn't think of, it can test experimental stuff or edge cases. It's crazy (in many ways, I know)
