Thrilled for the launch of @kiro.dev today! We started with two main ideas that led to Kiro's spec-driven development features: 1) AI can help us build better products through rapid prototyping 2) Devs can declare their app's requirements to get better results from AI, close to production-grade code

The vast majority of MCP servers today aren't actually servers 😱 They run as a child process and communicate over stdio, a bit awkward for distributed systems trying to use MCP. Backend apps can now run existing stdio MCP servers in Lambda functions with this new library: github.com/awslabs/run-...

There's something to be said about having some of our key devices hardwired (Roon Server, Music Streamer, TV Streaming, NAS). Everything is just snappy

Come learn cognitive techniques and tools for reducing time to resolution. We'll talk instrumentation, logs, telemetry correlation, and I'll show how Amazon Q Developer for troubleshooting operational incidents helps you move toward resolution even faster. Thursday 2pm! #AWSReInvent #observability

We often talk about agents as specific things. Today, that's somewhat useful. I think of agents the way we think about services in a distributed system, each performing specific tasks. We are still learning how to build these new distributed systems with components implemented as agents.

Today, Q Developer offers software builders a core set of agentic capabilities from the breadts of the agent for software development (/dev) to specialized agents for specific tasks (/test, /review, /doc, /transform). Our customers are already guiding us to help evolve these and identify new ones.

In the future we may not talk about specific agents but rather capabilities that autonomously complete tasks on our behalf. My hope is that as builders learn to harness and direct these new "systems", we will get a significant acceleration in the quality and velocity of software.

These three new agents for Q Developer are pretty cool! I've been seeing some surprisingly and delightful results in my internal testing. I'll be demoing live later today for the AWS on Air show. Can't wait to show this off!

One of the best part about being part of this organization is working with a team that's constantly innovating. This includes a team of scientists that continue to equip the Q Dev Agent with more capabilities, e.g. new tools to search, navigate, understand, and modify code with precision.

We're always iterating and improving Q Developer Agent. Today we launched three new abilities: * unit tests * documentation * code reviews AND as of today, Q Dev Agent is #1 on SWE-Bench Verified benchmark, resolving a massive 54.8% of issues. Agentic development truly transforms how we write code.

It's Day 2 of re:Invent. Amazing to see Andy being back on the stage and Matt Garman acing it :) I’m proud of what my team and I worked on that was launched today. I’m also very excited for how our new Amazon Nova models are going to change the game. My takeaways from this morning’s keynote ⬇️
