My daughter fosters young dogs and dogs recovering from surgery. Her turnover is pretty high, but she still gets attached to them. I had a dog die of cancer. Giving a dog up to a forever home is easier and both are inevitable. I am sure I will see them in Heaven. It wouldn't be heaven without them.

I foster old dogs. Being retired I have the perfect set up plus my neighborhood is designed for dog walking. This is my present tenant Felix. He is a young 8yo Shih Tzu, very well trained. It is hard not to adopt them, but if I do that takes me out of the foster loop.
