classical music is pain, you experience a perfect mind-expanding sound at a formative age and then, years later, you're left searching for that ONE version you remember; without any idea *which* orchestra in *what* year you are looking for ..currently going through 17+ recordings of prince igor

i rarely talk about my love of classical (baroque, etc) music because historically its been parsed as either some kind of pretentious interest (as though I didn't get introduced to Wagner and Rossini by Bugs Bunny!) OR a class signal that I'm secretly privately educated (lol, no)

and WORSE, you'll end up **sincerely** saying things like "I prefer the Montreal Symphony Orchestra recording of Carmina Burana" and people will argue with you like you're an art heretic i am not arsed playing bourgeois taste games , I just love music

Also reignited my interested in Gnosticism, not simply the dry details of historic religious movement, but the rich poetic texts they produced - the titular poem is really quite striking

obv exited to do more modern stuff, but TPM was me really trying to capture the feel of "putting down issue 3 of JTHM as your friend pauses her 3rd playthrough of VtM on a beige PC so you both half watch buffy on a tiny crt while doing your makeup for the goth club your going to later"

its cleopatra records in 00 *as your imagine/remember the vibe* not as it actually sounded i do sincerly love the sound of "is that a synth through a guitar pedal or a guitar through a rack compressed-to-fuck?"

codes have gone out to backers :)

copied packs over from windows directory and ableton detects and updates them without fail, so far all VST's copied from windows (faaaaaar too many diff directories) **being recognised and working** took <30 seconds to configure midi keyboard this is VERY solid

hey, The Eternal Sophia reached out to let me know you weren't doing so good, sorry to hear that babe i'm always here if you want to bemoan being trapped the material world 🩷

Biggest strike in Ireland in over a decade and our Taoiseach is giving a speech about how AI is going to transform the economy. It’s humans vs robots, a chairde.

a government that has bent over backwards for multinationals and landlords is not one that can be expected to keep. a health service or education system maintained + one utterly servile to that parasite called landlordism chooses impoverishment of workers.. www.thejournal.ie/public-secto...

thejournal.ieTaoiseach says government is 'open to negotiations' to resolve public pay rowPublic sector workers are striking across the country today to call for a new pay deal.

and here are the consequences! were workers expected to go quietly into a decline in living standards? to accept renting until old age and inevitable eviction? government & bosses media would have you believing, as was ever the case, that "reason" had been abandoned and the unions are running wild

in my entire life I've never seen a protest or strike that was assessed as legitimate by those same groups in the moment.. even if sanctified later by those same cowards once safely in the past up the unions
