Okay, so, I'll start by introducing my premise and main characters, for the benefit of those who may not know my work. My TF art mostly centers on Forbidden Arts, a store located in Fairmont, CA. At street level, it appears as an ordinary sex shop, but there's a magic shop hidden in the basement.

This Halloween, Blaire decided to get her staff in the mood for the spooky season by using a modified invisibility spell on them (and herself) for the last week of October. They were... a bit less enthusiastic about the idea. #TFSky #TFEveryday #transformation #HalloweenTF

Update on my situation: My issues with Discord have been resolved much earlier than expected. I will be around today. However, I learned yesterday that my power company needs to do some maintenance tomorrow. I will be experiencing a long outage, during which I will not be reachable.

Bit of an unfortunate announcement to make here. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am currently unable to communicate with anyone via Discord right now, and will be for the next 1-2 days. If anyone needs to reach me, Bluesky DMs are the best alternative.

When I was growing up, there was a mnemonic for remembering the Great Lakes: HOMES (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior). However, according to Google Maps, recent events have apparently made that one obsolete. So, I've devised a new one that reflects the reality of Americans in 2026: SHAME.

Just, everything from the part where Neal goes back and finds Del sitting alone in the station, to the final frame of the movie. Despite the movie being almost 40 years old, I won't spoil the ending in case there are people who haven't seen it. But it makes me tear up every single time.

Wait... now I'm second-guessing myself. Do radishes ACTUALLY taste like battery acid, or am I allergic to them? o_o I know they're vegetables and not fruits, but I've never liked them because of their sharp taste. Is it just me?

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam or Alice In Chains I'm gonna dispute you there, Mini. There is not just ONE correct answer. I can think of quite a few, actually.

Sorry, this has been bugging me for a while, and I need to vent. Common AI spotting advice: "One way you can tell if something was written by an AI is the usage of em dashes. Because, seriously, what human actually uses those? Nobody writes like that." Me. I do. *I* write like that. Always have.

One of those pauses is the em dash. It's longer than a comma, not quite as final as a period— most similar to an ellipsis, but with a different connotation. When I use an em dash, it tends to be a mark to indicate a natural pause to think about what I'm saying next, whether it's a digression or not.

And I am not letting AI, or people with a narrow stereotype of how normal humans write, deter me from using them. The thoughtful pauses are a legitimate part of my voice, and I'm not editing them out. I understand how vital it is to recognize slop. Just remember, there ARE humans who use em dashes.

It's a matter of taste. When used properly, em dashes are actually a remarkably versatile punctuation mark. And I refuse to stop using them just because LLMs somehow picked them up as some sort of recognizable tic. Because fuck AI, I used them first. I'm not letting ChatGPT steal that from me.

It's not just that em dashes can serve as alternatives to colons or parentheses, or that you can attribute quotes with them, or that you can use them to indicate when incomplete sentences trail off. When I write, I have my own voice in my head— a voice with a pace, with pauses of various lengths.

And furthermore— I'm not sorry for using them. I have used em dashes in my prose for DECADES. Certainly a lot longer than AI has been a thing. Because I understand what they're used for, and when I write, I tend to have tangential things I want to say, and I prefer parentheses for smaller asides.
