-great sense of smell and hearing, hawks with their eyes, yadda yadda, and you had to get creative with ways to circumvent those challenges, like masking your scent and what not.

I cannot reiterate how happier you will be if you let numbers go. Like i can imagine if this is your work it matters, but if you do stuff for yourself - just have fun. This changes focus from "everything is measurable content machine" to stuff you actually wanna experience..
