I pivoted from being super down on myself about closing my own clients to partnering with a few solid great agencies. Sometimes niching up instead of down is the answer. What was your biggest business pivot?

If you want to achieve results with cold email, listen up! First month lessons: - Personalisation matters - Follow-up sequences work - A/B testing subject lines is essential - Specific CTAs get better responses Starting simple with MailScale + Instantly. What outreach methods work for y

This might be controversial, but working with other agencies has been more profitable for me than direct clients: → 3 agencies now provide steady work → Multiple time zones, consistent systems → Repeat projects, established processes Creating systems that scale beyond borders. #webdev #buildinpu

I wish I had known this sooner RE delegation: - Clear SOPs save hours of explanation - Loom > text descriptions - Finding the right person > saving money What's your delegation system? #webdev #buildinpublic

Very few people can do agency partnerships properly, or white label web dev for that matter. What you need: - Systems and documentation - Communication - Consistenty delivery - Scalable processes What is your ideal client type? #webdev #buildinpublic

Too many people are trying to be perfect at cold email, but consistency beats perfect. MailScale has helped the process massively. We are using Instantly and have just started Phase 2. What's working in your outreach? #webdev #buildinpublic

I will never underestimate a good system to track and manage workflow: → Custom fields for client variables → Templates for repeated processes → Automations for notifications Not a huge learning curve and so worth it. #webdev #buildinpublic

Freelancers, this is why your international agency partnerships aren't working: Timezones require intentional systems: → Asynchronous updates → Process templates → Clear documentation What's your cross timezone strategy? #webdev #buildinpublic

Stop doing everything yourself, instead do this: I finally started delegating, really it started in December: → Social media visuals → Alt tag optimisation My only regret really is not doing it sooner. What is the first thing you delegated? #webdev #buildinpublic

🛠 1 year ago, I was doing everything manually. Today? ✅ I delegate ✅ I have SOPs for everything ✅ I use ClickUp to track tasks, not my brain Growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing less, but better. What’s changed for you in the last 12 months? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

⚙️ Stop working IN your business. Start working ON it. Freelancers who scale into agencies focus on: ✅ Systems, not just clients ✅ Delegation, not just doing ✅ Process, not just hustle I started working ON my businesses in January, minimum 1 hour a day. The results compound! #webdev #buildinpubl

🚀 March Focus: 📊 Improve project management (ClickUp) 🤝 Delegate faster (no micromanaging) 📈 Streamline onboarding for clients & contractors 💰 Increase lead volume without adding workload Biggest lesson from February? Work smarter, not harder. What’s your top goal for March? 👇 #webdev #build

💰 Your first hire should be to buy back time, not just make money. I used to think: “I can’t afford to hire.” Now, I think: “I can’t afford NOT to.” Every hour I free up is an hour spent: ✅ Landing better clients ✅ Building scalable systems ✅ Growing the business #webdev #buildinpublic

🔥 My agency workflow is 10x smoother after switching to ClickUp. Here’s how I use it: ✅ Task tracking for every project ✅ SOPs & templates for repeat work ✅ Automations to reduce manual follow-ups Now, it’s all in one place. What’s your go-to project management tool? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

💡 If you’re doing everything, you’re doing it wrong. For too long, I: ❌ Micromanaged everything ❌ Thought nobody could do the work like me ❌ Wasted time on low-level tasks Now? I delegate. More time = More growth. What’s the hardest thing for you to delegate? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

🚨 Your business isn’t stuck. YOU are. For months, I thought I had a client problem. Turns out, I had a bottleneck problem. Once I fixed: ✅ Systems (ClickUp for tracking) ✅ Delegation ✅ Clear SOPs Growth followed. What’s your biggest bottleneck right now? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

📊 February in review: 💰 Revenue: $3383 🤝 Signed 2 agencies (🇺🇸 + 🇨🇦) 🛠 Projects completed: too many! ⚙️ Biggest change: Started using ClickUp One lesson: Systems > Hustle March is about efficiency & scale. How was your Feb? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

Your website should be your hardest-working tool! Does yours have these 3 key features? ✅ Contact Form: Make it easy for customers to contact you. ✅ Before-and-After Photos: Build trust by showing off your skills. ✅ Testimonials: Let happy clients prove your value. #webdev #buildinpublic

Stop doing this if you want high-paying clients! ❌ Taking every job that comes your way ❌ Underpricing yourself out of fear ❌ Chasing ‘big’ clients who don’t respect your time Set boundaries, pricing, and standards. Have you made these mistakes before?👇 I know I have. #webdev #buildinpublic

🚀 Over-communication > Assumptions Every time I take on a project, I ask: ✅ What’s the priority? ✅ What’s missing? ✅ What’s unclear? Clear communication saves time, money, and frustration. What’s your best client communication hack? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

📢 I hit a huge milestone this month! ✅ Existing white label agency partner x5 my work for them each month ✅ Another agency came on board (another from Canada so wild) ✅ Marketing, ads and funnels are really fun to learn about. So keen to keep going in that direction #webdev #buildinpublic

Your website is losing you clients. Here’s why: ❌ Slow loading speeds ❌ No clear call-to-action ❌ Cluttered, confusing layouts A simple, fast website makes you money. What’s the most annoying thing about bad web design? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

Stop making this mistake when pricing your services! Most freelancers charge based on hours instead of value. Instead of: ‘This will take me 5 hours.’ Try: ‘This will help you make $50,000—so it’s $5,000.’ Charge for impact, not effort. #webdev #buildinpublic

I started 2025 with a new mindset: Stop keeping everything behind closed doors & start sharing. The result? More inbound leads, better connections, and stronger authority. What’s ONE thing you’re changing this year to grow? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

🔥 Freelancers, stop underpricing. You’re not just selling a website. You’re selling: ✅ Strategy ✅ Experience ✅ Time saved ✅ Business growth Charge for VALUE, not just time. Agree/disagree? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

3 things that helped me grow my agency: 1️⃣ Sharing high-value insights for free 2️⃣ Documenting every process to scale smoothly 3️⃣ Learning to say NO to bad fit clients What’s the best lesson you’ve learned from running a business? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

🔥 Unpopular opinion: Most agencies don’t need fancy animations. Clients care about: ✅ Visibility (SEO, Google Maps) ✅ Simplicity (Fast, Clear, Clickable) ✅ Conversions (Leads, Sales) Flashy design doesn’t pay the bills. Simple UX does. Agree/disagree? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

How I document my agency projects to scale efficiently (and avoid chaos): 1️⃣ SOPs for common tasks 2️⃣ Templates for client and agency onboarding 3️⃣ Internal prompts for AI automation 4️⃣ Standardised timelines & milestones What's one system you SWEAR by? #webdev #buildinpublic

Most service based business websites don't convert because they: ❌ Make contact info hard to find ❌ Load slowly on mobile ❌ Have sliders & popups that distract users Fix these, and your site will actually get leads. What's the worst web design mistake you've seen? #webdev #buildinpublic

January was a big month for my business: 💰 $3,282 in sales 🛠 5 websites built 🤝 Signed 1 agency (🇨🇦) Momentum compounds. Small wins stack up. What's your biggest win so far this year? #webdev #buildinpublic

I used to think clients wanted fancy animations and complex designs. Now? I know they care about: ✅ Simplicity (easy to use) ✅ Results (getting leads & sales) Design isn't just about looking good- it's about working for the purpose it is built for. Agree or disagree? #webdev #buildinpublic

The 3 biggest mistakes freelancers & agencies make: ❌ Relying only on referrals ❌ Offering everything instead of a niche ❌ Charging for time, not value Fix these, and you’ll never struggle for clients again. Which one are you fixing first? 👇 #webdev #buildinpublic

My mac shit itself today. Got home at 11:30am from the gym and yep. Done gone. Did all the usual steps. Watched my data get erased. It’s stuck in a loop. (Have an appointment booked for tomorrow) Could have been waaaay worse.

Honestly I’m pretty lucky all I’ll really lose is some bookmarks I didn’t properly sync to the cloud, and then having to download and install all my apps again. Benefit of working with GitHub I guess. Grind and hustle will be on to still get everything done I need to this week.

Building something different in 2025: A knowledge base for agencies. Because growing alone is shit. I started seeing success when I started networking and growing together. What topics should I cover first? #webdev #buildinpublic

I spent a lot of January documenting everything. Honestly felt like I was procrastinating at some points, but I wasn't. → Project workflows → Testing processes → Communication templates → Launch checklists Not just for me, but for other agencies too. #webdev #buildinpublic

3 things I've now learnt that I want to share about working with agencies: 1. They need systems more then they need me to build out websites 2. Clear communication saves everyone time 3. Documentation = scalability What do you wish you knew earlier? #webdev #buildinpublic

A content plan isn't enough, building a resource hub feels much better. - Documenting every process - Sharing real learnings both wins and losses - Building templates that work - Creating clear systems No fluff, just valuable content What resources do you wish existed? #webdev #buildinpublic

Switched my mindset in 2025: Not just building websites for clients and agencies in silence. Teaching and empowering other agencies is in. I get a few Discord messages a week asking for help / advice. So time to share some of that here! #webdev #buildinpublic

What managing 20+ website builds last year taught me: Documentation isn't optional, it's essential. → Client variables → Design decisions → Technical specs → AI prompt Sharing more of these learnings to fellow freelancers and web devs in 2025. What processes changed your workflow? #webdev

January kicked off with some pretty great wins! I hit $3282.81 in sales. → 4 customers 🇦🇺 → 3 agencies 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇦🇺 → 5 custom websites built out → got added to an agencies ticket system to do adhoc client edits → signed a new agency, this time from Canada 🇨🇦 #webdev #buildinpublic

→ bought ads, funnel & marketing course → started cold email efforts (in the warmup phase rn) 2025 is the year I step out of my comfort zone Thank you to everyone who’s supported me so far.

End of week reflection: → Wrapped up the month → Reflected and planned for February → In talks with a new agency that could mean big wins for me! 🤞 Building better ways to serve my agency partners always. #webdev #buildinpublic

One lesson worth sharing: Over-communication beats assumptions I have one agency I do build outs for pretty often, 4+ websites a month most months Each time they give me a new project I ask the same thing Why? Because they're the variables and they never get passed on unless I specifically ask.

For each build out I document: → Answers to variables → My SOPs for the project → Any prompts used for GPT/Claude → My timeline Building systems that scale here. What steps save you time? #webdev #buildinpublic

One of my most valuable lessons from 2024 (yes, I'm still reflecting as it was a good year) White label partnerships need a really clear process Other agencies are likely juggling a bunch of other things, and being a developer for 5 agencies at the moment

I can tell you that you being on top of your sh*t helps out so much. What agency partners want: - Reliable delivery - Clear communication - Simple handover - Consistent results No complexity, just reliability each and every time What's your most important process? #webdev #buildinpublic

Nearly learnt this the hard way Clear client communication isn't about fancy tools It's about: - Setting clear expectations - Documenting everything - Having solid processes - Being proactive Nail these and you'll be reliable, and great at what you do What's your top communication tip? #webdev
