Incredibly good takes here. If you're making a "Safe Space" for something or someone, you need to also understand that not everyone is in the know, not everyone has your experience with something. Your "Safe Space" could very well be incredibly hostile to someone else if not made properly.

Even if you don't stream, go turn this off. While it says "channel content" which implies streams, it'll likely be trying to capture your chat messages too. Don't think this doesn't affect you cause you don't stream. Turn it off. And check regularly to make sure it stays off.

note that even if you opt your channel out, your chat messages will still be used to train twitch/amazon's generative AI models if you chat in someone's stream who hasn't opted out. my advice is to be annoying about asking. any streamer who's opted out will be glad to tell you so.

Twitch is now allowing opt-out from your channel to be used for Generative AI "training". The option for this is in twitch.tv/settings/sec... and you need to scroll almost all the way to the bottom.
