Not originally how I envisioned this scene going but honestly I think I prefer this. Got one more shot to go before I return to the character modeling trenches! #3dart #characterart #scifibooks #animation #blender

Getting next shot lit and some of the basic stuff in it all blocked in. Gonna work on texturing and a few shaders tomorrow then should be a quick job to do the camera work! #blender #animation #scifibook

First three characters added to the opening! There are three more characters who are supposed to appear in this shot but before I get around to MAKING them, I'm gonna go ahead and do a lil work on some of the other shots that have just these three. #characterart #scifibooks #blender #animation

It's always rigging problems. Thankfully it's all looking good now so let's get to work! #animation #blender #scifibooks #characterart #3dart

These last couple of character models certainly posed their own unique challenges, from making and rigging wings, to getting rigs to play nice with each of the new models, but we finished them up! Next few have their own problems for me to face but I'm certain I'm up to the task! #blender #scifibook

Finished up the second character model for this animation. Been getting side tracked by work and some other stuff, but HOPEFULLY should be able to focus some more time toward this over the next few weeks. #blender #charactermodel

First character rig is complete! Excited to move onto the rest and get this animation really underway. #blender #scifibook #retroanime

First few character heads sculpted (and bodies too but those aren't seen anyway). Heading into the first rounds of retopology for them a lil bit tonight and into tomorrow! #blender #blenderrender #scifibook

VERY early sneak peak at the trailer for my next book. Still some stuff that I need to add to this scene but I'm so happy with how it's come out so far! #blender #blenderrender #scifibook #retroanime

Remaking my book's logo from scratch just for a single trailer? More likely than you'd think #scifibook #digitalart #graphicdesign

Another couple of test renders before I hop into some animating today! Working on the opening scene of my sci-fi trailer for my book! #blender #blender3d #scifiart #scifibook

Test render for some "foliage" I made for a little animation I'm working on. Final version's gonna use more of a toon shader, but I figured it'd be nice to see it in it's full glow #scifibook #3dart #blender

Been putting it off for some time but finally got this piece done! Really excited for the release of Rondo of Revolution! #rondoofrevolution #scifibook #scifiart

The original map for Rondo of Revolution was a lot more difficult to read and bloated with scifi-technoclutter. Decided to strip that all away to make something that both felt like it fit the world, and was easy to read! #mapart

A complete remake of 5028's galaxy map. I wanted to increase the readability and add some more clear color coordination between the governments and their systems. I also wasn't a fan of just using stock Milky Way assets and so set out to draw the galaxy by hand! #scifibook #galaxymap

Hey y'all my next book is coming out hopefully later this year, and with the first draft finished it's time for a cover reveal! Thank you once again to the lovely @luhuala.bsky.social for some outstanding work!

I realize that I never posted an update on my last picture before I dipped for vacation. Haven't worked on this as much as I should have been but here's a current progress pic! #conceptart #artwip #rondoofrevolution

Lineart WIP for some promo art :) Really happy with how a lot of the characters and backgrounds are turning out! #conceptart #artwip #lineart

Genuinely insane the difference a couple months of practice makes. Given it's been a year since Nocturne of Souls released, I wanted to redraw Dalia and Y'ALL??? I knew I'd gotten better but seeing these two pics side-by-side made me a little emotional ngl #conceptart #artpractice #scifibook

I was never happy with William's hair post Sonata, so I decided to go back and redesign it! In the end, I made it slightly longer, a little messier and overall just more fluffy! (also new rendering style practice!) #conceptart #characterdesign #5028books

It's sticker time! (Or at least it will be soon!) Thanks to the lovely artist @kayspnart.bsky.social we have some adorable chibis of some of our lovely book characters! Now I just need to go and get them printed 😅 #scifibook #scififantasy #chibiart #stickers

More new concept art for my last scifi book, 5028: Nocturne of Souls: Nine. One of ten Soulless Commanders, specializing in weapons RnD. Once a close friend of Dalia Fitz, how will she fare when her closest ally turns coat on the faction she's given her life to? #scififantasy #scifibook #conceptart

New concept art for my next sci-fi fantasy book, Rondo of Revolution: The Stormtrailer. A boogieman of Draen mythos, lovingly (and horrifyingly) brought to life by the Soulless! How will the Sparrow Crew contest a being that controls the winds of magic itself? #scifibook #scififantasy #conceptart

Y'all if you haven't yet you should check out (and back) this lovely game on Kickstarter, especially if you love CRPGs and Starfinder/Pathfinder! It's closing in on some of the last days and the team at @epictellers.bsky.social is really cool! www.kickstarter.com/projects/epi...

Gen Z protesters from Indonesia and Nepal to Madagascar and Morocco, are rallying behind an unexpected banner: a grinning skull in a straw hat.

So I'm probably jumping the gun on this, but with me working so tirelessly on my next book, I got a rush of inspiration to make the main theme. For a story about strife and tyranny, of manipulation and freedom, I present the Rondo of Revolution! #5028book #composer #maintheme

The constitution is officially out the window...
