Our government should work for the American people, not wealthy special interests. I'm joining Tiffany Muller of End Citizens United and Stasha Rhodes of United for Democracy for a conversation about fighting corruption and restoring accountability in Washington. Tune in LIVE:

Storming the Capitol shouldn't come with a cash bonus. I joined @TheDailyShow.com to discuss why we won't allow taxpayer-funded payouts for January 6th rioters.

We are prepared for any attempt to subvert our elections. Every time Donald Trump has tried to interfere with our elections, we've fought back and won in the courts. We will continue to stand up to his reckless and dangerous efforts to undermine our democracy.

We are proud to be working with dedicated local election officials across the country to ensure we have free and fair elections this November. The people will have every opportunity to make their voices heard.

I'm proud to have supported this project and excited to see these investments in our community move forward. This $1.4 million grant will help restore the Lehigh Valley Trail, improving a beloved community space for walkers, cyclists, and families.

We have been preparing to defend against any attempt by Donald Trump to subvert the mid term election. We will not be intimidated, and we will protect American elections.

The new Willow Domestic Violence Center space at Skyview on the Ridge will help expand access to vital services, and continue to provide critical support for survivors of domestic violence throughout our community. I was proud to join them for a ribbon cutting today.

Proud to join Willow Domestic Violence Center for this year's Walk With Willow. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month—a time to stand with survivors, honor their strength, and reaffirm our commitment to ending domestic violence. I'm grateful to Willow for the lifesaving work they do.

I've traveled the country meeting with election officials to ensure our midterm elections are free and fair. Both Democrats and Republicans are prepared to uphold the sacred right to vote. If you have questions between now and Election Day, visit monroecounty.gov/elections.

Congratulations to Fair Pour on their 10th anniversary! It was a pleasure to present a certificate recognizing this exciting milestone and celebrate a decade of serving our community.

Proud to join Ibero's State of the Latino Community Luncheon and celebrate their incredible work strengthening Rochester. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and I'm fighting to ensure every family feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.

German Machado is a hardworking SUNY Brockport employee who came to America seeking safety. He has a valid work permit, has built a life here, and has spent nearly 10 years waiting for his asylum case to be heard. Yet Trump’s ICE agents took him into custody outside his home.

(WROC) — The Department of Homeland Security says a SUNY Brockport employee arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Tuesday morning in Batavia overstayed his authoriz…

This is outrageous. In Rochester, we believe in hard work, treating people fairly, and looking out for our neighbors. We don’t tear families apart or punish people for seeking a better life. German deserves due process, his family deserves answers, and I’m calling for his release.

I had the opportunity to connect with local seniors at Marquis at the Woods to discuss the issues that matter most to them. Our seniors have worked hard and contributed to our communities throughout their lives. I'm working to ensure they can age with dignity and security.

Donald Trump's ICE has terrorized communities across the country. They are making people afraid to go to work, go to church, or send their children to school. This is not the American way and it must stop.

From volunteering in her community and abroad to pursuing her passions for music, athletics, and personal growth, Azalea has demonstrated remarkable dedication, compassion, and determination.

Young people like Azalea remind us that the future of our community is bright. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement!

Donald Trump's Justice Department has shown it doesn't care about the civil rights of Americans. This November, we are prepared to go to court if the Justice Department oversteps its authority or interferes with our elections.

I was proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by recognizing five remarkable community leaders today. Through their advocacy, leadership, and commitment to service, each has helped make Rochester a stronger, more vibrant, and more inclusive place to call home.

Once again, Donald Trump cozies up to dictators, this time by agreeing to allow Russian diesel into American markets. This decision provides an economic lifeline to a murderous, anti-democratic regime. I condemn this action, and we in Congress must use our authority to overturn it.

Keeping New Yorkers safe is not optional. I joined @reptimkennedy.bsky.social in demanding DHS immediately release the $87 million in counterterrorism funding still owed to New York. Our first responders need these resources to prepare for threats and protect our communities.

Great to join the APEX Accelerator Government Contracting Forum and Matchmaker event! Federal contracting can open new doors for Rochester-area businesses. Today was about making those opportunities more accessible, building connections, and helping local entrepreneurs grow.

Trump will continue to try to subvert the election, but millions of Americans have already begun voting. We will have a free and fair election, your voice will be heard.

As Susan B. Anthony said, "failure is impossible." We will be successful at stopping Trump's corrupt attempts to subvert our elections. American voices will be heard.

First, they got pardons. Now they want paychecks? You can't make this stuff up. I joined @thedailyshow.com to talk about the outrageous effort to reward the January 6th rioters with taxpayer dollars.

Donald Trump’s policies have made life harder for hardworking American families. Reckless tariffs and an unauthorized war in Iran have driven up costs and uncertainty when families need affordability and stability more than anything.

We should have confidence in our elections because we are fighting back against Trump's attacks, and we are winning. We know more threats are coming, but we won't stop fighting to keep our elections safe, secure, and fair, no matter what is thrown our way.

Every October we come together to stand with those fighting cancer, honor survivors, and recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For my family, the fight against breast cancer is personal. I'm committed to expanding access to life-saving screenings, prevention, and treatment.

Months ago, I demanded answers from the Department of Justice about decisions that pulled federal law enforcement resources away from combating gun violence and keeping illegal firearms off our streets. The DOJ has responded but serious questions remain.

The federal government has a responsibility to keep our communities safe. I’ll keep demanding transparency, accountability, and the resources law enforcement needs to prevent gun violence and protect families in Rochester and across the country. Read more:

Three years ago, we all witnessed the horrific attacks on October 7th. On this day, we remember those who lost their lives and loved ones as we stand with our Jewish community. May their memories be a blessing.

No one should have to choose between paying their bills and filling a prescription. With prescription drug costs still far too high, millions of Americans obtain lower-cost prescription medicines from Canada and other countries for their personal use.

Now, new federal procedures set to take effect this month put that access at risk. I'm calling on the Trump Administration to ensure these changes don’t cut families off from genuine, lower-cost prescription medications intended for personal use.
