Another day, another inexperienced but hopeful writer, announcing that they have “been offered a book deal” for £20,000. Turns out that the author is being expected to PAY THIS to the publisher, not the other way round. Folks, no publisher does this.

i put out my own book and when i sold my 1000th copy (and kept every penny at $20 a book), i realized that never EVER shopping it to a publisher was the smartest thing i coulda done. for anyone interested in doing this : the link is in my bio. i mentor authors 1 on 1 (on zoom) weekly.
