Yall into Ace Combat 8? Never watched Macross? Nows a good time. I think Macross Plus is one of the easiest sells of the classics (for newcomers.) Shoji Kawamori, Shinichiro Watanabe, Yoko Kanno, topical story about pilots fighting back against AI replacement, and of course Macross Love Triangle ™️

Just cleared Ace Attorney JFA again. Saddled with necessary emotions. I really love the themes of justice and rivalry in these games. Wanting to best a rival, learning what it means to do the right thing, while also wanting to escape a shadow cast upon you by an “enemy.” Fuckin all timer games.

I really do mean that, too. Its not like some underhanded “fuck you.” My drawings aren’t going to be for everyone and they may not even appeal to the audience I want them to! I can live that if it means being free to do what I want. No one should follow anyone they dont enjoy.

Ill stop soapboxing now but the reality is that part of the creative process is talking about how you feel about it. Artists arent machines that output images on a schedule. Sometimes you’ll end up seeing their feelings even if its not in the art itself. One long thread isnt going to kill anyone.

20 fucking years of model kitting, from sculpting to painting, AFV, characters, Gundam, Macross…All those years fighting to make a name with my real name! No matter what I achieved it was never enough for me. Lifetime of drawing minus 10 years. All the struggles relearning and growing for 7 years.

Honestly, the pinup I make of AA may never reflect how I feel about these games. Doesnt have to. In my own way, Im growing and learning what I actually like to draw and a lot of times thats just erotic art that doesn’t necessarily mean anything other than what you see. Its taken a very long time.
