I should have added this more recent photo to the pile as well since it is literally one of the inspirations. I don't wear glasses anymore since my eye surgery so he hangs off my bangs instead.
I don't talk about my identity much on here aside from being Okinawan since I'm pretty uh....cis/straight passing? But funnily enough during this last pride month I had an aha! moment learning about the "demi-girl" identity.
Even after learning about nonbinary I didn't really feel like I could call myself that because of my comfort with she/her pronouns. And then i learned about demi-girl and now here I am. I am in fact under the non binary umbrella.
I struggle with a lot of "not being enough" feelings as a biracial, bisexual and nonbinary person. But that's a whole other can of worms. I'm sure people can figure out what this ramble was sparked by lol

This fluctuation happened a lot growing up until in my early 20's I went "Oh I'm both but neither?". Non-binary wasn't a concept for me at that point though. I identify slightly with being a girl but also feel very masculine but not like a boy either. Often feeling neither.
My friends started calling me Catthew, a play on "Matthew", which was essentially like masculine-izing my name while it not really existing as a name somehow gave it that genderless feeling. The euphoria i feel when called that does not compare to anything else I've been called.

I grew up extremely privileged with parents that let me experiment with gender and fashion. I never really felt like a girl and was often put into masculine roles in friendships. I felt disconnected from other girls my age and my fashion started going that way too until i hit puberty at 9.
Surpriiiiise! I graduated from sinus infection to covid after 2 negative tests. I started feeling like i had a cold instead last night and today its positive. And I'm pretty sure I know exactly how I ended up with it and I'm pisssseddddddddddd
