So sad to hear of the passing of Walter Koenig (90). Some of my earliest memories were of him as navigator of the USS Enterprise. I once got drunk with him in the late 80s at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool whilst attending a Star Trek convention. Funny, humble guy. Warp Speed my friend, RIP.

I would like to recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it yet, to please go and watch Ted Lasso. It is now officially my favourite TV show of all time. I love it with all of my heart and soul. As I live only 20 minutes from Richmond I went there last weekend and stopped off at the Lasso store...

A moment of peace and tranquility in a terrible week. My Dad has been diagnosed with aggressive bladder cancer and given at most a year to live, my Mum is having a CT scan for suspected stomach or bowel cancer on the 16th of October. I don't expect the news to be any better...😔

Just watched my new 4K Blu Ray of 'Soylent Green' this afternoon. The film hits much harder now than it did in the early 70s. And it's because we're that much further along the projected path. Pollution, overpopulation, wars, mega corporations, corrupt politicians & profit worshipped above all else.

Just saw the latest episode of 'ST: Strange New Worlds' and Trelane (sQuire of Gothos) was back from the Q Continuum to turn the Enterprise into a daytime soap. It proves again that the link is now canon in Star Trek lore. 60 years ago today the first ever episode aired on NBC. Happy Star Trek Day!🖖

"2026: UK crime rate rises 400%. The once great Isle of Wight becomes the one max security prison for the country. A 50ft wall is erected, completely surrounding it. Waterways are mined. The Police, like an army, are encamped round the island. The rule is simple, once you go in, you don’t come out."

1st images for the new Prime series 'Blade Runner 2099'. The launch will be sooner than expected in the remainder of this year. Set 50 years after 2049 it is a world where humans have lost a war against the replicants. I doubt they will catch lightning in a bottle for a 3rd time, but we will see...

Just realised that Rocky's home world of Erid is only a 100 miles from my house. As Project Hail Mary is one of my 2 fave movies I'll have to make a pilgrimage to Durdle Door & Man O'War Beach, Dorset soon. The location stood in for Ryland Grace's terrarium biodome on Erid. Amaze, amaze, amaze...!👎👎

Just pre-ordered the Limited Edition Steelbook for 'Project Hail Mary'. My favourite movie, not only of this year, but of the last 44 years. Since 1982 Blade Runner has been my fave movie. Unwaveringly! As I didn't have the heart to put it at No2, I now have a joint 1st place. Amaze, amaze, amaze...

Just ordered myself a new watch for my growing collection. The Casio G-shock GBM-2100A-1A2ER Solar powered, Bluetooth connectivity for time correcting, world time, lumed dial as well as LED backlight. Can't wait to receive it...😍

If you think I'm being quiet at the moment then of course you'd be right. My partner's father is dying in hospital in Northampton and it's taking everything I've got to support her during this very difficult time. I'll be back when things settle down. See you soon hopefully. 🙏

Thanks to Arrow Films' release schedule for May & July this has been a very expensive start to the month for my personal 4K pre-orders. They are knocking it out of the park with the films they choose to restore. The picture & sound quality on the recent 'InnerSpace' & 'Soldier' were an easy 10/10...

Been waiting for these preorders for a few months but finally I'll be able to appreciate Industrial Light & Magic's special effects for InnerSpace in 4K & watch Kurt Russell in the unofficial spinoff from Blade Runner, 'Soldier' in high definition. An embarrassment of riches. What to watch first...?

Sir David Attenborough is a national hero 💚🌍 To celebrate his 100th birthday and all he’s done to inspire us to protect our planet, he should be honored with a permanent statue. Agree? Join me by signing @JohannaBaxter MP’s petition: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/a-...

you.38degrees.org.ukHe’s brought the natural world into our hearts and homes for decades, and fought to protect our planet. We should honour him properly with a statue to show our appreciation for everything he’s done for us 🌍💚

Just received my 'Project Hail Mary' mission patch T-Shirt & 'Rocky' plushie! God, I love that film! Amid all the end of the world movies full of asteroids, zombies, plagues & societal collapse, it's refreshing to find one so full of optimism, self sacrifice and yes, love! Amaze, Amaze, Amaze...!!!

So after the distraction of the unlawful war against Iran has worn off, Trump is now telling Hegseth to release the UAP X-Files. Presumably I.C.E. will be all over that as soon as they are made public. I mean the removal of "Illegal Aliens" is their thing isn't it...?

He's claiming he thought he was meant to be a doctor saving a patient!🙄 Makes no sense! There's light coming from his hands! And how is he a doctor & who exactly has he saved? If he said it was meant to be the Angel of Death killing somebody by sucking the life out of them, I'd have believed him...😆

What an amazing collectable!!! "I never did introduce myself. Del Griffith, American Light and Fixture. Director of sales, shower curtain ring division. I sell shower curtain rings. Best in the world. They're filled with helium, so they're very light..." 🤣🤣🤣

Welcome home Orion. A perfect splashdown right on target and a textbook ending to the Artemis II mission. Apart from a slight toilet malfunction, which made it difficult "to go where no one has gone before", this was the greatest achievement since Apollo 17 & the construction of the ISS. Awesome...

I've so far sunk 160 hrs into the absolutely sublime 'Crimson Desert'. Pearl Abyss have created nothing short of a masterpiece, reminding me why I got into gaming in the first place. The 'Spire of the Stars' in Southwestern Hernand is definitely inspired by the Hallgrímskirkja church in Reykjavik...

This is a NASA simulation of what the crew of the Orion (Artemis II) will see once they have rounded the far side of the Moon & pop out the other side to slingshot back to Earth. I'm just waiting for this message... "That's no moon, it's a space station. Euston, we have a bad feeling about this...!"
