Again I see this mindset "X corp. just protect their IPs from you, 'f***ing scalpers'" Reselling used personal property is a longstanding legal right of ownership, not "scalping." It has nothing to do with protecting "IPs". Every company strives to take as many users hostage as possible.

What often gets overlooked in these discussions about physical copies is that the government also benefits from such kind of digital distribution, because it allows them to censor information quickly by dealing only with a platform that has full control over access to it.
