What if, like, when AI hallucinates and gives us a different answer to the same question, it actually provides us with information from a different version of our universe? Still useless for knowledge, then

Today I had the first chance to play yet another weirdo #Warhammer40000 Imperial team in #KillTeam and ooooh choir boy, they have a high skill ceiling. Lost to canoptek (first loss in a friendly since 2023), but twas fun!

I bought #battlefield6 (because I have always loved the series in multiplayer) to play it with my mates But the intro to the story, about 12 countries (including Poland) quitting after the NATO chief gets killed... I mean, how can you be so tone deaf in these times

This pervasive motif of Europe standing back and quitting the moment things get hard. It's just plain stupid. I know it's "just a game", but narratives stick I really do get that you need to hook the audience (at least its biggest target audience...), but, come on

It's funny how in #SplinterCellDeathWatch on Netflix an American spy agency has a safe house in Gdańsk old city (Poland), as right now only them, venture capitals and techbros can afford to but any property there

When I was younger, I was stupidly looking for any references to Poland in the broader popular culture (as all the Eastern Europe did, methinks, looking for a smudge of recognition of our existence) Hell, even a Polish name in the credits was something

For all the bigtech promises and solutions that are supposed to make our lives easier, it's pretty distressing how many of them want to make people delivering services invisible or non-existent at all

So I played the Kroot for the first time in this edition of #Warhammer40000 #killteam against the goremongers, and oooh boy, do those guys hit hard and fast In the end I lost by only 2 points, but I felt I was behind starting turn 2

Yeah, the AI industry not only ripped through available content ignoring such small things as the authors' rights, but they set up a whole underpaid gig economy for specialists to drain their brains (and replace them in the end) Who could have known! www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

theguardian.comHow thousands of ‘overworked, underpaid’ humans train Google’s AI to seem smartContracted AI raters describe grueling deadlines, poor pay and opacity around work to make chatbots intelligent

I was checking alternative inflection for a verb in Polish, and of course, AI invited itself into the search, claiming that the word I thought was a totally proper one, was in fact wrong, even citing sources, including the official dictionary of Polish

I checked the source, and lo and behold, the alternative version is totally valid in Polish AI at this stage is a trust-fund nepo baby that crashes your party and interrupts all conversations with their made-up stories based on "facts" and guesses

On the fine day of yesterday the vile Awakened Dynasty forces of the Necrons clashed with the Wrath of the Rock Dark Angels. The first turn for the First was risky, but delivered the full stack of Sternguard, Knights and a Repulsor (a.k.a. the Pain Train) to the middle objective #wh40k #battlereport

Alas, everything boiled down to a showdown between two strategically misplaced titans of the two armies. A Necron C'tan and the Primarch of the First Legion. Locked in deadly combat, observed by a chaplain cheering from the sidelines, the 2 god-likes fought in a crunching clash

The gods of dice finally looked favourably on the Dark Angels, and as the priests of the Imperium say during their sermons, Lionel shived the frag of the imprisoned shard of a god It was nail biting, dice swearing match full of shouts like "you have bonuses to WHAT?". We made our ancestors proud

The result was the destruction of the Doomsday Ark on turn 1. The Necron clapback, however, would be written in the annals of the Imperium if they were not vile xenos. The middle of the board got crowded, maces were flung, attacks were deflected, minor insults were exchanged

Meanwhile, on the right flank the unstoppable force of the Necron Wraiths met with the immovable object of the Deathwing Knights (Ducks). And lo, for 6 fight phases they were happily scratching each others' armor in a totally platonic play

There was sun, there was beer, there was rain swepped by the sea wind, there was a random emotion-filled encounter. Seagulls ate pizza pieces stolen from tourists right from the bozes, bums were tripping in the sand Perfect evening by the Baltic Sea in Poland, if you ask me

Yesterday we were drinking beer at the beach in Gdynia, PL. Stormy clouds were coming in from the West. Young people were posing for IG photographs despite the winds and the temperature. Suddenly, dozens of meters from us people started clapping.

People started looking towards the source of the clapping. More and more people joined, as others stopped talking looking for what caused this And there, in the middle of the clapping spiral growing and growing with each second, was a pair. He was kneeling, she was jumping excitedly in the sand

So we clapped as well. No complaining about toursists coming to the sea, swarming our beach and sidewalks. It was a moment of pure, shared, social joy He proposed by the sea. She agrees and kicks the sand around her, as happy as a clam under the blue-steel sky

I mean, with all the stuff happening around the world recently and the tech bros taking off their masks, it's must be pretty hard to be writing the script for the next Bond movie and coming up with a larger than life villain
