EV Chronicles #69 - EV Winter Weather Usage Analysis In this blog I cover: Range Loss computed as an overall % Detailed warmup energy consumption Energy Consumed by: HVAC as a function of Temperature, heated seats and steering wheel, and DCFC prep marcepochet.wixsite.com/the-ev-chron...

marcepochet.wixsite.comEV Chronicles #69 - EV Winter Energy Usage AnalysisThis is a long one, so buckle up fellow EV nerds. If you own an EV, you have most likely been asked this question, probably many, many times:"How much Range does your EV lose in the winter?"So, if yo...

Quick one here. Polestar 3 Navigation SW doesn't account for ANY wind conditions and ignores the energy it will use for preparing the battery before a DCFC charging stop. Not trying to hate on the vehicle, just trying to keep owners/drivers informed for their own trip planning.

Yet another reason to dislike this guy.

“Elon Musk’s charitable foundation grew larger than ever in 2024. But, for the fourth year in a row, the huge charity failed to give away the minimum amount required by law — and the donations it did make went largely to charities closely tied to Mr. Musk himself.” www.nytimes.com/2025/12/02/u...

He lost an election and refused to accept the results. He forced the Smithsonian to lie about American history. He fired the head statistician bcuz he didn’t like the jobs numbers. He can’t handle the truth. We elected the biggest pussy/coward/sore loser in all of human history.

No, they voted for this and they need to be reminded of it daily so they don't repeat this mistake again. They were either too stupid to understand this was a highly likely outcome, or they knew it was a highly likely outcome and didn't care.

Timothy Burke@bubbaprog.xyz

i really, really need people to understand that they *didn't* vote for this, no matter how much you insist they did. insisting "they voted for this" elides the information environment that led them to vote the way they did in the first place, the thing that actually needs fixing.

📄 NEW: Ed Martin is lying. No one has attempted to "weaponize" the government; the people he's after are those who have patriotically stood up for the Constitution and the rule of law. It's Martin that poses a threat to national security. america2.news/weaponizatio...

NO ONE IS SAFE....

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

If Trump can claim a "national emergency" to disappear legal residents without due process, what’s to stop him from doing the same to U.S. citizens who oppose him? No one is safe — not even people legally in the country, possibly not even American citizens. Fascism is here.

Mathematically, mine is now a 340k….doesnt make it any better. Feels like I just got kicked in the balls.

Raskin: We even have the right to call the president deranged for crashing our economy, destroying $6 trillion of wealth and turning our 401(k) Into a 201 (K). And the press has the right to call the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of Mexico.

When the grifter has zero consequences for his actions, he is just going to keep on grifting.

Schooley@schooley.bsky.social

Typically, after a grifter pulls a big con they disappear before the marks realize they were taken. I think the thing that’s unprecedented and unknowable is what happens if enough people figure it out but the con man is still trying the same con on them as if they haven’t.

Looks like first amendment in the US is dead. It either applies to everyone or no one. It doesn’t stipulate “only for citizens”.

Hundreds of international students in the US are getting an email from the State Department asking them to self-deport owing to campus activism — for something as innocuous as sharing a social media post.

“Poor guy” fucked around and is now in the find out phase.

Elon musk is the richest man in the world, he could be funding hospitals, medical research and universities. He could be solving the climate crisis. He could be feeding, hungry children. Instead, he’s trying to make sure that your grandmother doesn’t get an extra dollar of Social Security.

I pray this is successful, but have seen zero evidence that our checks and balances will work.

Musk is acting like he runs the U.S. government—but the Constitution does not allow an unelected super-president We’re taking him & DOGE to court to impose consequences I’ll discuss tonight at 6PM ET on @msnbc.com w/ @jonathancapehart.bsky.social
