Discord, WTF. This setting will allow search engines to find your posts on discoverable servers, so people can google posts you've made on those servers. It's In Data & Privacy. And because Discord is owned by slimy, sociopathic billionaires, it's on by default everywhere they can legally do that.

This here also makes us no better than Trump. An "election expert" is just like one of Trump's "very important people" if we don't have any sources to go on. It saddens me to see so many people repeating an election fraud conspiracy theory without citations.

A thought experiment to put the exorbitant pay of CEOs into perspective: Satya Nadella of Microslop was paid $96.5 mil last year. Minimum livable wage from what I can see to live comfortably is $50K/yr A man making that much salary needs to work 1,930 years to see one year of Satella's pay.

Typical of multi-billion dollar corporations, you have been opted in to letting your content go to train generative AI without your knowledge or consent. To turn it off, go into your settings and Security and Privacy. Tried finding it in the mobile app and it wasn't there GEE I WONDER WHY.

The way I see it, when a dev releases something onto Steam EA, there's a promise that it will be finished eventually. Some games are """finished""" but clearly unfinished, meanwhile others just sit in EA in perpetuity. To me, it's understandable that people are upset when this happens.

I don't think this will be possible for a while. You need to have the PC boot to an OS before you can use it, and while booting from network is possible, you'd need to force every user to switch to one that boots from internet if there's no local drive to store the OS. bsky.app/profile/mist...

If you wanna have it boot from local storage, then every computer would need to come loaded with an OS on motherboard firmware that's set up to connect to a remote internet server to get its OS data to boot from. I could be wrong, and am open to discussion.
