DNF at 50% I wanted to like this so bad but the characters were driving me insane😭 And these adults don't communicate to the point it's ridiculous. The stakes are so high but the characters and pacing are just... Oh chill , let's not move the plot🤦‍♀️ Ps. It does make me hungry.

Maybe it'd get better but tbh at this half way point I find the characters especially MC insufferable and I can't see myself sitting through the rest of it without agitating myself into insanity. I think if I were much younger I might like it more.

I think I've had enough.🤦‍♀️ This book is just not for me bro. The characters are driving me absolutely insane in a bad way and if MC does one more terrible thing that gets glazed over or plot armored into being oh so nice I would probably expire.

Pardon, but not only did MC (self-proclaimed mature 31 years old) fed someone's dog human food she admittedly didn't know if it's safe for dogs, but she also took someone's kid out (without the guardian's permission) to populated area without keeping a close eye on him? Girl.🤦‍♀️

I think I might really be bad with these romance books 'cuz how tf are you guys already getting feelings and jealous and all that jazz?? All I could see is a really unprofessional employer-employee relationship (no planning, no scheduling, no proper discussion that's job-related)
