Also, seeing some of the scenes of the game again hit me the same way or even harder than the first time I played it, specially the scenes of Saturday and Allison together, why they have to be so cute god dammit. This game really has an effect on me.

And well, with this one down there’s only six left to go! The next one on the list is the Dawn cursor, I have some cool ideas for this one, I don’t know if I’m actually going to be able to make them with the 32x32 canvas, but there’s only one way to find out!

With this one I had to scavenge a bit more through the game to find references that were cool, could be represented in an animation properly and fitted what the animation was for to at least some degree, and I’m very happy with the result! I hope I got good ones.

As some extra info, the game it’s still early in development so don’t expect it to be done anytime soon, I would like to have a demo done for 2027, but the game itself still needs a lot of time.

With the Saturday cursor done I started working on the Allison one! This is my favorite animation from it so far, although, It had tough competition with the horizontal resize one, specially when deciding which one to show. #art #fanart #pixelart #digitalart #vivid/stasis #vividstasis

This cursor is looking good so far! I still think the Saturday cursor is going to stay as my peak as a cursor maker, but this one is good too, I’m trying my best to make these next cursors as good as I can so the people that like more the other characters can get a cursor full of references too.

I know absolutely nothing about Noctern but oh my god her design is adorable, I already love her (I love cute character designs). I'm really excited for this game. #art #fanart #pixelart #digitalart #polymorphite

The Saturday Tasogare cursor I was making is done! Now the pink haired girl can accompany you in your pc! The cursor is available for Windows and Linux with a gray cursor variant. www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/494uk... #art #fanart #pixelart #digitalart #vivid/stasis #vividstasis #cursor

I should also consider finding a better place than Dropbox to upload these things if I plan on keep making them, but for now it does the job.

Okay I spent the entire day unintentionally thinking on animations for a possible Dawn, a Tsuki, a Kotomi and a Storyteller cursor so yeah I guess I’m gonna end up doing one for every character now, I really need to find a way to make the Linux versions less painful to make if I want to do that.

I’m really happy with this cursor! Definitively the best one I made so far! I also might make an Allison one too since I already have the design done (I’m a bit tempted to do a cursor for all characters of the main cast but that would be a tortuous experience so I probably wont).

The fourth devlog of the game is here! This one is smaller, mainly to show the song for the trailer. #godotEngine #godot #gamedev #indiedev #pixelart #survivalhorror #devlog #music #flstudio

I also struggled a bit trying to record some gameplay parts for the trailer that looked good but I managed to get some after a lot of suffering, another thing I’m deciding now is if I should add text to explain what’s happening on the screen or just let the video speak for itself, I’ll have to see.

And this is the small update on the Steam Page progress, I also made some of the page assets but I still have a lot to do, and I already started school so that's going to be a hit in the game deving department, but it should be fine (I hope), so thanks for reading!

Speaking more about the trailer itself, I’m going to assume the people who read this haven’t seen the trailer of the first game, but with the song only you can already tell it’s going for a different vibe.

Since I want to try to get some horror elements in and take the story slightly more seriously I decided to make the trailer less silly, that doesn’t mean the game is not going to be comedic, but I have another two trailers to make before releasing the game so I have time to do the stupid one later.

So well, I finished the trailer faster than I expected, I thought the song was going to cause me more problems but in the end I had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted to do so I was able to do it well! Good to see the practice I’ve been doing is paying off!

I’ve been working on a Saturday custom cursor, I had a bit of troubles trying to get Saturday to look like herself with the 32x32 canvas size, but I’m happy with how she looks, here’s my favorite animation of it to show how it’s going. #art #fanart #pixelart #digitalart #vivid/stasis #vividstasis

The unavailable cursor animation is also really good but I decided to show this one because it’s cute, I’m pretty happy with how the animations for this cursor are looking in general, trying to get stuff from the game in as many animations as I could has been really fun to do.

I'm seeing people interested in the cursor, I'm really happy! I wasn't expecting it if I'm being honest. I think I can have it done an published for anyone to download at some point next week, so I won't have to make y'all wait much!

And as you can probably guess, I’m extremely excited for Polymorphite, I adore it’s gameplay and while I doubt it will get the same effect on me, if the story is just like a quarter of how good the Vivid/Stasis story was I will be more than happy with it.

I also didn’t like Dawn switching to the antagonist at first, I felt it too sudden, but her performance at it and with the post game I started liking it more. And for Chiyo or the other characters that appear less in the game, I like them too, but I don’t have anything interesting to say about them.

Summarizing, the game it’s just amazing, I would recommend it to basically anyone who likes games for the story, this game definitively sold me anything that Hajimeli does from now on.

But from the half of the game onward she gets and absolute improvement, it’s amazing how after that point she starts moving the other characters forward, it’s just fantastic, she deservedly stole the place of my favorite character of the game from Eri.

The other characters get an improvement later as well, I appreciated the added depth to Eri and the Kotomi screen time, seeing Tsuki slowly regain humanity was amazing, Allison got some backstory that was very painful but interesting to see (and her relation with Saturday is the cutest thing).

The game made me get a genuine attachment to the characters that only Doki Doki Literature Club and Oneshot had managed to accomplish on me, I felt genuinely concerned for their well being, and I must admit that Saturday saying goodnight at the end of the game hit me harder than a bullet.

One thing that I liked a lot was how the characters evolved, the one that stood out the most to me was Saturday, I liked her at the beginning of the game, but she didn’t stood out too much compared to Eri or Allison.

I got specially engaged past the half of the game when the important lock opens, the story at the start is very interesting, the escalation of what the hell is going on with Tsuki's disappearance is really well done, but the thing just goes crazy after that lock.

And now with the characters, damn, they are likeable, and they all have really distinct and well made personalities, their problems and concerns are really interesting, the interactions with each other are awesome to see and I just love them so much man.

And for the rest of game modes, I haven’t tried most yet so I can’t talk about them (the fishing minigame is a banger though), I appreciate a lot the replayability for the people that like a lot rhythm games.

And now with the story, It’s a really interesting concept, I love it! Really well executed! I do have some problems with how the last part hands you some information a bit out of nowhere or how Kotomi basically did nothing during the game, but I still think everything was amazingly done.

Now with the locks with puzzles, these types of puzzles aren’t really my thing, so I didn’t enjoy them much, but I really like the idea and how they are implemented with the story.

The betweenspace was really cool to play! A nice break for the normal loop of the game, I could have used a few puzzles on the more empty places, but I like it as it is, and the logs were really interesting to read.

I also finished the game last week and it is one of my favorite games ever now, and I feel like sharing my thoughts on it here, so if you want to see me going crazy over the game you can read it here.

So starting with the gameplay, the charts are really fun to play, and I think the point system based on how you play the songs is really well implemented, the multiple modifiers and difficulties are very appreciated too, and the visual effects on some of the songs were really good.
