Really enjoying creating some new lessons for KS5 in #Mathstoday. Here are a couple of the slides from Y2 Trig Modelling. Interested to see what people think! #ALevelMaths

Do A level Maths students still need a physical folder with work done on A4 lined paper? Is this a thing OFSTED care about? How do you get your students to do work - are Ipads okay? Thank you - would love to know what other people do 😊 #Alevelmaths #MathsToday

That is all super helpful, our wonderful Head of KS5 is unfortunately leaving and he has always been clear that students need to do work on paper/have an organised arch lever folder that we check for OFTSED reasons. woul definitely like to move to an exercise book/Ipads if students have system...

Definitely some interesting conversations about qu2 and whether it makes sense to be looking at 20.4 and about why some of the questions give you the same answers...

Quick thread of the resources mentioned in the blogpost below! #ALevelMaths First one on using set notation with Venn Diagrams

Did TS1 through AMSP alongside @mrsteele314.bsky.social this past year and found it incredibly useful. Also was very fun creating resources based on all we learnt. Wrote about it here: chelekmaths.com/2026/06/23/t... #MathsToday #ALevelmaths

Normal Approximations with Y12 in #Mathstoday - Quickly made this to practice Continuity Corrections (Wasn't quite sure of the table headings...) Always like using numberlines to get students to choose what the new inequality should be #AlevelMaths Worksheet will be on www.chelekmaths.com

Working through Variable Acceleration in #MathsToday (yesterday!) with year 12s. Finding out students need a bit more structure than usual so enjoying putting together things to help them work out what to do when! #AlevelMaths

Then trying to write a series of questions that capture every skill they might need so I could work out exactly which bit they were struggling with. Also interesting conversations when they realized a lot of the answers were the same...

Then reminders about minimums/maximums/where it's coming from on different functions (they did not notice the similarities between the left and right hand sides...)

Always such a joy to be mentioned by one of the Maths resource GOATs 😍

Fun discussion in #Mathstoday debating if anyone of the following can be considered Standard Form and whether we haven't been specific enough in our definitions! Would love to hear thoughts!

Logarithmic Regression with Year 12 in #mathstoday Finding that we are needing to scaffold things in #AlevelMaths more this year and we are enjoying putting together resources to help to students organise their thinking!

Saw the top question whilst doing some prep with students for the Pink Kangaroo and enjoyed extending it to more and more digits. A fun way to explore patterns and generalising in #MathsToday

Finishing up transformations of functions with Year 11s in #Mathstoday Students were struggling with describing functions after the transformations so made this to practice it and then will try it out with A Level classes later Worksheet can be found here: chelekmaths.com/a-level/ #Alevelmaths

A Year 11 student wrote this question as an extension in #MathsToday following on from the questions we worked through below 😮 Definitely will be a fun qu to give my #AlevelMaths classes next week!

Looking through our upcoming year 7 lessons and wanted to teach commutativity a bit more explicitly so got to make some questions to get students practising in #MathsToday Anyone else seen any other resources for this somewhere?

Wrote a very quick write up of our session at #Mathsconf39 about using Variation Theory in #AlevelMaths including the PPT that we used. If you came to the session and have any feedback for us please do let me know here or via email chelekmaths@gmail.com #Mathstoday chelekmaths.com/2025/10/23/m...
