Wow, this is the first thing I've seen from XBOX in a while that truly surprised me. Looks like someone asked "How can we engage this community?" again. If you know, you know 🙂

Microsoft just announced Xbox Labs, a response to the AI-powered game decompiling we've seen recently. Whether it's skateboarding in CoD or Halo in a browser, Xbox Labs is a new group tasked with exploring this new era of modding. Details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/1010406...

Usually a game being damaged is a major downside, but in the case of this Collector's Edition for the original Gears of War... The damage here actually works? I didn't buy it, but I feel like not shipping it out like this was a missed opportunity.

RIP RJ Mitte I'm honored to have met him once at a speaking engagement he had, and he was genuinely one of the sweetest and most down-to-Earth people I've ever met who took the time to talk with and meet everyone who attended. 😔

This was the stack of games I've been shuffling around my office I was using when testing Peer Pressure. Now they can go back to the game room! I have no doubt that Lily is relieved.

The impossible has happened thanks to Grimdoomer! This is a tried and true softmod for the Xbox 360. Put some files on a USB drive, do an installation, and you're done. Modified console on coldboot using software only! Thanks for the release, Grim 🖤 github.com/grimdoomer/X...

Halo 3 launched 19 years ago today. If you have fond memories of it releasing, be sure to stretch before and after any strenuous activities!

ModChat tomorrow. To make up for missing an episode last month, it's pretty much 2 months worth of developments. Clocking in at just under 2 hours 🫠 Anything that releases now will be deferred to the next month, I've already re-rendered this monstrosity once!

I've learned today from this video's comments that cats and dogs unanimously did not like the chain breaking boot animation. Rough stuff.

A lot of folks have been trying to use the PS3 Flash Writer with no success the past few days. Developer aldostools shared the attached tweet here. It's unfortunate, but if you want to jailbreak a PS3 with the Flash Writer you still can via Self-Hosting! youtu.be/UXIHs0LXSCM

PlayStation cancelled a Kojima game only for it to be picked up by XBOX, then Nintendo dropped a new update which added in VRR for the Switch 2's TV mode. Just gaming things.

Photoshop some text really quickly for an example I forgot to capture?❌ Hook up a console and make a Bad Update USB drive to capture one screenshot? ✅ It might be inefficient, but I hope the genuineness is appreciated 😂

With all the GTA VI hype, don't forget that Microsoft passed on locking down GTA III exclusivity for the Xbox! Rockstar spent so much time pitching their Austin Powers game to Microsoft that they only left 5 minutes at the end for GTA. Everything happens for a reason, right?

If anyone is wondering how Lily is doing these days, here's an update! I took her to a game shop this week! Then during our morning walk she decided to rub her face on a dead snake. Thank you for reading this Lily update.
