Social media addiction needs to be tackled in a way that advocates for creators too because a lot of them really have a deranged schedule for increasingly lessening rewards
Think of allthe resources that have gone into the topic of single sex wards when people are dying in corridors. Why have we allowed gender critical bigots to hold us all hostage to their bigotry?

Donald Trump canceled his scheduled Oct. 16 deposition in his lawsuit against the BBC because of "matters of national importance."
The BBC alerts the judge that those matters were: a rally in Dalton, Ga. and a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.
I trust this “rival” inquiry about as much as I would trust anything run by one of Toby Young’s (former?) employees. Freddie Attenborough who runs CAF used to work for Young (Young’s business partner, Noah Carl, was sacked from Cambridge for promoting eugenics).
www.thetimes.com/uk/education...
Attenborough is also a writer at The Critic (associate editor: Toby Young). And the Spectator (associate editor: Toby Young). And the Daily Sceptic (editor in chief: Toby Young; co-owner: Noah Carl).
It’s the same handful of men, putting on different hats, and pretending to be unbiased consensus.
The thing that’s particularly galling is that men who write for the climate change denying, anti-vaccine Daily Sceptic - run by the eugenics-curious - have set themselves up as arbiters of what constitutes academic freedom, and what constitutes legitimate academic merit. And the media lap it up.
Notably, the CAF does not consider protecting academic freedom as part of its mission, only free speech (which are not the same thing). Given protecting academic merit is not part of their mission, why are they so concerned about Professor Arday’s qualifications for his role?
The Committee for Academic Freedom has launched an investigation into Professor Arday’s hiring, and appointed Steven Pinker - listed as a referee on the CV of Arday’s accuser - to the panel. Because Cambridge should not have the freedom to decide its own appointments?
TONIGHT! I'll be giving a new talk for @merseyskeptics.org.uk: When pseudoscience hides behind ‘free speech’... and even skeptics fall for it. I'll highlight cases where skeptics supported ideas we'd usually oppose, just because they said the magic words 'free speech'.

Look at the state of this event, from this time last year. "Me must defend the reputation of science!" says the best friend of the world's most notorious paedophile, while sat next to a climate-change-denying eugenics-curious antivaxxer. But yeah, wokeness is the problem.
