To add to the convo, not only kids and seniors. There are so many young adults- like my 27 year old daughter with MS- & middle aged persons who fall into the cracks. This "admin" has highlighted just how scattered the systems are & how much work needs to be done to address it.

In no way can I support extending Medicare to children until we address LTSS. Children with disabilities will be screwed over tremendously, as will adults. I get messaging around Medicaid for All being a challenge, but we need to address LTSS. There have been bills promoting Medicare for All

Here's how we get Medicare for All done: Make Medicare whole (no one can keep all the parts straight!) Include vision, dental, and hearing. Begin extending to more people, starting with children. We arrive at Medicare for All, which means great Medicare for everyone.

that I can entirely support because it’s actually Medicaid but they’re using Medicare to avoid the stigma. That said, while I don’t hate what this video is saying, it’s not the solution. Seniors need LTSS just as much, if not more, than children do, and that’s only going to come from Medicaid.
