The fourth day after a big storm is always a grind for streetcar passengers. Now that people are out and about after the storm the streetcars are not getting through because the tracks are blocked by parked cars on the rail.

The Snowpiercer was struggling this morning from Bloor to Rosedale. I thought we were going to lose power. The crunching was eerie.

I finally saw plows going south on the DVP. I have a good view of it downtown. Did they simply forget to plow a major highway into the city?

So the Ontario Drug Benefits is down. Seniors and people with disabilities cannot get there RX unless they pay the full amount. It has been down for two days.

I would love to know why the 506 replacement buses have completely omitted Carleton St from Parliament to Homewood where the majority of the people using transit in the area are seniors AND why the bus detours through two roads with construction and down to one lane? It’s insane.

I am going to read anything out loud on the streetcar. If people can use speaker phone or play TikTok’s without headphones. That entitles me to read aloud and look nutz?

Toronto can do better than this gridlock when using a streetcar during shut downs. Sat through six green lights so far at Bay & Dundas. If you live east and need to go west it’s a day to prepare an extra hour using transit.

The 505 is a disaster this morning. I will never get to the subway at this point. The TTC truly has to be mindful of customer service. Oh well.

I am always angered by seeing people lining up for food banks. In this rain today people wait hours, then we have scorching heat, freezing cold. People that need food banks because benefits don’t cover food are already vulnerable. We should demand that this ends. Everyone should care and speak out

I just witnessed economic racism on the streetcar. A streetcar operator wouldn’t open the accessible ramp for a person that may be homeless, and he lifted his wheelchair up and a minute later a woman appears with a baby stroller and he lowers the ramp for her. TTC at its finest.

It’s not weird that a measles spread and where the person(s) went were always a Costco and several healthcare places. It seems that way. I wonder if public health could run an analysis.

@ttcalerts.bsky.social I walked from Dundas and Bathurst along the 505. No streetcar. I got to Yonge and took the subway to college to get across. I did not see any alerts for the 505.

I don’t understand why the TTC has so many fare inspectors but I have never seen a special constable on the 505 streetcar which is constantly disrupted by violent activity.

It’s so hot that I am putting frozen bottles of water in the medaka fish tub or they would be bouillabaisse.
