I don’t know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is

Using those figures we can calculate: If transwomen were (behaved like) women we’d expect to see around 0.2 of them in prison for serious sexual violence at any one time. If they were (behaved like) men the figure would be around 20 In 2019 the figure was around 76

I disagreed with Charlie Kirk on so many issues, but I always felt that he was open to having a discussion with people he disagreed with where the focus of the discussion would be on the issues and not resorting to threats, insults or violence. There is no decency in celebrating his murder.

Blocking people because you disagree with them is like putting your fingers in your ears and insisting that everyone thinks the same as you. It creates division, it increases hatred.

People need to learn to learn to discuss, listen and disagree on the issues. Both X and Bluesky are just as bad, just as intolerant to views outside their echo chamber. Safe spaces for opinions should be banned.

Creating echo chambers is bad for society. We lose the ability to listen to each other. We reject and exclude anyone who doesn't reinforce our beliefs. If our beliefs were that strong they would stand up to the scrutiny of disagreement.

It's been an interesting few days, arguing with TRAs. I have tried to have discussions, exploring the reasons why women (talking about sex, not gender) want sides away from men. I've been told that there is no need for single sex spaces, but that TW would be unsafe in the men's.

I've been told that you can't exist without a gender identity, that if I don't have a gender identity as I claim, then my gender identity must be agender - which means someone without a gender. I've also been told that I'm cis man, cis woman and non binary!

I've found it takes about 1-2 posts max before they start with the nazi, Taliban, right wing accusations. They don't think that women should have any sex based rights - sounds very Taliban like to me. But they are incapable of listening, and while they talk, more and more people are peaking.

"However, the Supreme Court ruling was clear that biological sex is the means by which single-sex provision will be delivered." Bridget Phillipson She also talked about how some organisations were "misrepresenting the law on single-sex spaces" and are being investigated by the EHRC

This is why so many women support men who seek to remove their rights. They move over to allow men to take their spaces and speak for them. I will not. Women deserve better.

A great reason why women should not be well-behaved. The rules of patriarchy are hazardous to women’s health and well-being time.com/6319549/sile...

This demonstrates how so many people shouting at women about discrimination, have absolutely no clue about the EA. Yes David, people CAN to deny services to others based on a range of characteristics, including the 9 protected characteristics for the purpose to achieve a legitimate aim.

You continue to not answer the question, but you’re getting closer to saying ‘Yes — people should be able to deny public services to individuals based on discrimination by class.’

Putting male violence down to mental illness is an attempt to excuse their behaviour and put some of the responsibility onto women for not being kind & nurturing enough. Misogyny now is the the worst I have seen in my lifetime.

From Andrew Doyle.. The courts have proven to be the key to the collapse of gender identity ideology, precisely because they have necessitated the kind of scrutiny that activists have been at pains to avoid.

This is a long article but it explains why the transgender movement has lost so much public support. Most people are accommodating of others, but we draw a line at the harm that is being done to children and the destruction of women's rights.

I always find posts like this very telling. A man rejects any man with XY 5ARD from being a man because he has a micropenis and internal testes. Anyone who doesn't make the grade must be a woman.

Well they are mostly homophobic groups and see transness as associated with gayness and don't like it for that reason. Totallh different to lw critiques. Trans activism is very right wing because (so glad you asked) 1) it elevates individual rights above collective rights and social justice

You are up to date.
