The new NATO treaty for the defence of Greenland has been signed, to the great relief of Denmark and Greenland. A lot of angst and diplomatic damage could have avoided if only the US had negotiated in good faith from the beginning. #Greenland

It is the first time Greenland has been involved on equal terms from the beginning to the end, with their concerns integrated into the treaty. The 2004 extension of the original 1951 agreement included Greenland’s interests for the first time. #Greenland

I expect there is no reconciling the need for the Libs to move more to the middle to appease their core constituency, especially on the environment, now that the Independence movement has eaten away at their base and given people a viable alternative, and their walloping by Labor in the election.

Capitulation. Zuckerberg who recently donated a million $ to the Trump campaign, “will work with President Trump” as they’re removing fact checkers and moving their content moderation teams to Texas “where there is less concern about bias”, and admitting “we’re going to catch less bad stuff”.

Complete capitulation to Trump’s extreme agenda and promising to help push his bigotry and neo-fascist ideology on the rest of the world. Here’s hoping BlueSky doesn’t goose step to the same tune. I left Facebook long ago, and weened myself off Ex-Twitter. Meta can burn for all I care.
