How is this legal? Betting on sports invites criminal activity that skews results. Bettors are harmed financially, people are threatened and harmed if they don't go along. That's it. Betting on elections skews outcomes that harm EVERYONE! BAN ELECTION BETTING! www.politico.com/news/2026/10...

This isn't just a slogan, it's a matter of survival. Competition works fine for the lower species because they can only have so much effect on others. Our intellect is now sufficient to affect ALL OTHER CREATURES FOREVER. Competition will kill us. Cooperation and collaboration saves us.

I’m so happy to see and meet all my new friends on BlueSky! I look forward to interacting with you all here! It’s going to be hard to build the following from scratch, but I’m excited to do it! #community #stickers

The struggle for accessibility is a small glimpse of humanity's larger plight. We compete WITH EACH OTHER. It's lizard-brain programming. But we're now finding the limits of our ecosystem. We WILL NOT SURVIVE if we continue to marginalize some. We ALL thrive, or we perish. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY.

Ashley ShooOOOooo@ashleyshoo.bsky.social

Unpopular take: I want there to be as much energy going into physical accessibility as there is going into digital accessibility. I don't want new software or AI tools hyped to me until we can get ramps, handrails, and accessible toilets. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY.

The SCOTUS is primarily to blame for this. It is wildly absurd to think the framers of the Constitution fought a Revolutionary War to free us from a king, only to INTENTIONALLY grant our president the power - and freedom from prosecution - of a king. No amount of legalese can erase that absurdity.

Nathan Newman@nathansnewman.bsky.social

This is literally the end of the rule of law. If a President can pardon people committing crimes on his behalf - and the Supreme Court says he himself can't be prosecuted for crimes committed as part of his job - then the government becomes a lawless entity able to violate our rights without limit.

1) Holy crap.... Using AI is NOT a skill. It's the abdication of skills. It's designed so any dumbass can use it, with the assumption that many dumbasses will - and generate profits for AI providers, in exchange for output that has little real value. www.usatoday.com/story/life/h...

usatoday.comHer 6-year-old brought home an AI-generated photo from school. This mom isn’t having itNikki Anderson's 6-year-old daughter brought home from school an AI-generated photo of herself at age 25. Anderson was furious.

2) All we've seen so far from AI has been slop. The ads, photos and videos generated by AI are filled with things that look sort of real but are in fact just stupid lies. THE INTENT is to blur the lines between reality and what they want to sell. Even fake 'scientific' papers to bolster the lies.

3) AI's REAL potential is in solving stupefyingly complex problems in medicine, astronomy, physics, economics, etc. ALL of those will demand extensive, discipline-specific training to use. ALL results MUST BE VERIFIED BY HUMANS! And none of that REAL use requires 1000s of data centers!

2) Ever notice how there's always lots of heat - but no light - from all the chaotic bloviations from the 47 admin? LOTS of effort to throw accusations around, but ZERO production of evidence that would quickly settle the matter? Why all the noise? THEY HAVE THE LAPTOP - SHOW US WHAT'S ON IT!!!

3) Here's why: I read that an analyst found 100s of writes and deletes on the laptop's hard drive dated AFTER it was in the admin's possession. THEY WON'T PRODUCE IT BECAUSE THAT WOULD REVEAL IT'S ALL A POLITICAL HOAX. It's Benghazi 2.0. Disagree? THEY HAVE THE EVIDENCE - WHY NOT SHOW IT?!?!?

Holy crap. This is like playing a strategy game with a 6-year-old. Only we're letting the 6-year-old win TO OUR GREAT DETRIMENT. Who's smarter - the 6-year-old, or the grown-ups? It's not a rhetorical question - WHO'S SMARTER?!?!? WHO'S IN CHARGE?????

The time to determine whether Dan J. Sullivan Jr. could appear on the Alaska ballot for U.S. Senate was months ago, and Alaska courts did so. What's additionally batshit about this is that the candidates' names are printed on the ballot in a way which makes abundantly clear who's who.

Anyone remember Bobby Jindal, the GOP governor of Louisiana, who handily undid his own career by saying, "We need to stop being the stupid party"? I do. And apparently some in the GOP didn't get the memo. Arrogance and desperation can both result in stupidity. time.com/article/2026...

Musk claims to act with "radical honesty". He thinks he's among the most ethical people in the world. The problem is that he thinks he gets to define those terms. HE DOES NOT. Extreme wealth breeds extreme arrogance. What needs to be throttled is wealth disparity from under-regulated capitalism.

What Vance is saying is that Republicans need to abandon their last remaining remnants of decency, remove the hip waders and embrace the worst of the disgusting stench that will surely cement their power. The highest holiness is assholiness. If you think you've gone low GO DEEPER! Think Hitler.

NEW: On Wednesday, JD Vance, the most prominent Catholic in American politics, defended a $4 million ad that calls a survivor of childhood sexual abuse a liar. He told Republicans to “stop whining” about it.

Christianity is NOTHING without Christ. (Sounds stupid when you say it, but 'Christians' are now saying empathy is a sin!) If you're not doing what Jesus would do, YOU'RE NOT A CHRISTIAN - you are instead doing the work of Satan. YOUR RULES. NOT MINE. Make it make sense!

I don't believe in religion, I rely on FACTS. That DOES NOT mean I want to revoke others' freedom to believe, but let's get one thing straight: When your belief means your cup runneth over with stupid and you try to FORCE that stupid on me, WE HAVE A PROBLEM! Too much of faith is FALSE CERTAINTY.

Mrs. Betty Bowers@mrsbettybowers.bsky.social

Our Christian family’s new version of the Bible no longer has the Lord endorsing slavery. Now, He endorses “servants.” There, all better. Glory!

SO MANY so-called Christians live out their faith taking the Lord's name in vain. The KKK was AND STILL IS a 'Christian' organization. Same with white nationalists. 'Christians' who support Israel's war support genocide. 'Christians' who hate Muslims as terrorists haven't read the bible.

“I was hungry” and you cut $1 Billion in funding to schools and food banks. “I was sick” and you worked to gut medicaid, depriving me of healthcare. “I was a stranger” and you defined my humanity by legal status. “What ever you do to the least of these, you do unto me.”-Jesus

Executives thinking they know better than their technical talent has been a primary dysfunctional element of business since business has existed. Before, the worst outcome was the business collapsed. Now we're talking about THE LITERAL END OF HUMANITY. Are we humans truly too stupid to live?

Ignoring advice to secure and monitor your sandboxes during testing then blaming it on your AI being so smart that it’s a threat to humanity is nasty work

And WHY has this happened? Because our version of capitalism allows the wealthy to HEAVILY influence our govt at all levels, literally paying elected officials to legislate and enforce to favor the wealthy. Our democracy is corrupt. One Person, One Vote rarely overrides the money that controls us.

The GOP promised their tax cuts for the rich would lead to growth. But growth slowed down. They said their tariffs would bring back manufacturing. But factory jobs are down under Trump. Republican policies don’t work. Change begins on November 3.

Think about it - this is the modern day version of claiming corporations are people. 1. Corporations as people only makes sense as an accounting construct, NOT as a way for people to hide behind a separate entity. 2. AI's PRIMARY purpose is as a tool for PEOPLE to manipulate and monetize PEOPLE.

This is insane.

⬇️THIS⬇️, people, is a Very Big Step on the path to AI and the capitalists who back it turning our society into a new hellscape: MODERN FEUDALISM If they succeed, the masses will serve the wealthy few. 'Freedom' will have boundaries that constantly shrink - while wealth gets MORE concentrated.

Simply preventing responses to classes of questions is the crude, dumbass way to do this. If you're just a little bit more sophisticated in your dishonesty you can do a 'demeanor adjustment' that produces the results you want. Search "Grok MechaHitler incident" for a defining example.

From Daniel Dale The Trump administration appears to have changed its Al chatbot so that it no longer debunks Trump lies. Yesterday: It said Biden won the 2020 election and there's no indication of widespread fraud. Today: Says it can't answer such questions.

47's gibberish is getting so disconnected now it's frightening. Remember his "weave" explanation? That's BS. He can barely keep his thoughts straight. Dementia is near. He is also PURPOSELY clueless about stuff so he can demand what he wants - without regard for the stark reality in the details.

Proving, YET AGAIN, that ALL of 47's complaints on how the US is harmed ARE 100% BULLSHIT! He has made his living screaming at us - with absolute certainty - about what's wrong, but NEVER provides a single shred of PROOF. It works because some WANT to believe the lies. apnews.com/article/home...
