Progress: since I don’t have native roof rails, I got some foam kayak rails for the rack to sit on. Only problem is that it’s not really secure for this rack. So this is a park and assemble kind of situation. No driving with the ECTO. But looking good so far!

Ecto update! Got the green storage tube and some yellow “oxygen tanks” added to the side of the rack. It’s amazing how just that small bit really helps it feel more ecto-mobile.

Also working on getting ecto mobile going. Hoping to have some of it ready by Halloween!

I finally managed to compile an collection of my Tomodachi Miis that I've made per each stream. I wanted my island to be an odd mix of fandoms. So #DisneyPrincesses, #Ghostbusters, #FFXIV, #Nintendo and #OnePiece first came to mind. Here's Stream 1's additions to the island. #TomodachiLife

I had to a take a census of my plans. I went ahead and made enough of some mii groups so all my wheel categories all have the same count going forward. So last night's stream was a bit of a Princess-Palooza. With one little chaos gremlin thrown in. #TomodachiLife #DisneyPrincesses #FFXIV

Another stream done, a new set of Miis bringing my island to 31. I keep each character a mystery so viewers can guess. I was so happy that when he was guessed I could say "This is Thancred!" #TomodachiLife #DisneyPrincesses #Nintendo #OnePiece #LordOfTheRings #FFXIV

Blerg. Modem is dying. Need to replace it.

By this point I was really pre-planning who was going to be on the island by compiling birthdays, planning each characters personality in advance. That way things were expedited when I was making characters. #TomodachiLife #DisneyPrincesses #KingdomHearts #LordOfTheRings

If I had follow my normal "rules" for making characters (make one when the island levels up), then I'd have only gotten three miis this stream. BUT, when the wheel rolled Alphinaud, I felt Alisaie was an absolute requirement to make immediately after. #TomodachiLife #OnePiece #Nintendo #FFXIV

Been having a blast playing Tomodachi Life on stream with my hodge-podge of fandoms on what I call "Murfandom Island". So I've pre-plotted what characters I want, but I like to leave SOME mystery for my viewers. But here's who I have so far.

I was baptized Catholic as a baby. I have never participated in the church in any capacity. I have been a full blown atheist for almost 30 years. The fact I need to side with the Pope in any sort of debate baffles me, but here we are.

A personal streaming conundrum! I want more viewers so I can provide more good like raising money for charity. But that means growing my audience to a size I may feel uncomfortable with. I like a chat that is active, but slow enough to engage with.

I don’t want to be big and famous and stream full time. I just want to play games, be silly, and find folks who enjoying being silly with me.

So as part of my Backlog this year, one of the games I started to play was Subnautica since @danfloydplus.bsky.social started playing it, and I didn't want spoilers. And as someone with moderate thalassophobia and dislike of survival mechanics, it was a struggle to start.

In fact, I restarted in "Freedom" mode where I didn't need to worry about food and water. And installed a few mods (like a map) that make it more of a exploration/crafting game as well. I know this changes a lot of the vibe of the game, but I'm enjoying it much more now.

It feels kinda wrong to push myself outside the intended experience, but it was one of those times where I wanted to enjoy the game more than I was. And so far, I'm glad I have.

One of my core life philosophies is to not hate on things people like…. but… I’m not saying people who like Daylight Saving Time are wrong or weird. I am saying you dragging us night owls along into your early morning go-get-em vibe is the problem.

I struggle to get up by 7:15 during standard time and you want me to be up by 6:15 instead? Be early birds all you want! That’s fine. Just leave me the hell out of it. And maybe work should have the option of doing 8-4 and 9-5.

Took the day to have some fun and recover from a tough emotional week. Did a stream, and so many folks came in. Was great! Will be chasing that high for a while. Thanks to everyone who showed up.

If anyone has been curious about my 2026 backlog progress. It’s momentarily stalled. I’ve been getting back to streaming and that usually coincides with a burst of developing stuff for viewers to interact with. So my attention has been there.

I fully intend to get back to it once the thing I’m working on (the pin collecting game) is in solid shape. It’s pretty good right now, but needs a few features still. But I do really want to get back to the backlog!

One of the things I’ve always loved working on for my streams is dumb stuff for my overlay that viewers can trigger. One of my newer additions are Silksong fleas. And this week, redeeming the Flea reward has a random chance for Big Flea to appear.

And for another new one, my kiddo loves mimicking the Owen Wilson wow meme. So I had to add randomized wows!

Fun stream setup update! Got a ceiling mounted curtain track and hung a green screen from it. So now I have much more coverage than my old Elgato standing screen, and it stores away nice and easy against the wall.

I’ve been waist deep in coding a fun feature for my stream. I’m calling it “stream pins.” It combines aspects of pin collecting, blind boxes, and an Easter Egg hunt. I got the idea seeing the lurk bait game on other streams, but wanted something of my own.

You collect from sets of pins (just simple images and a sound). You start with one set, but unlock new ones by building your collection or finding other unlocking triggers with commands or channel rewards or various activities for participating in stream.
