I really like Ohio's flag, and found out recently that all 88 counties of Ohio have flags themselves but not all are pennant shaped like the state flag. However I really like some of the designs and ended up collecting a bunch from reddit/elsewhere.

The first flag that sort of started this got posted on reddit by someone who found it in HiHo Brewing Co, and I found another image stolen from somewhere, instagram maybe? Ohio Brewer association's logo + Ohio flag blue triangle + Pride colors, possibly also Germany.

Haven't heard of any Fantasy/Sci-Fi that uses Nano machines as an explanation for magic or like supernatural stuff but is set in a less technologic setting - like lost technology that just keeps working and needs magic words to work

Attempting to justify the killing of a member of the public because he harbored resentment towards a specific group of Federal law enforcement because that specific group had recently killed a member of the public and was harassing the public extends to... "you are either with us, or against us"

There's a Wikipedia page about a boy named Christopher Seider, a boy that was killed during a protest where the crowd was throwing rocks at a Customs building and a man inside shot into the crowd, striking the boy and later he died from his wounds. 1/

I'm revisiting this again because when I visited Boston last year this was one of the things I was trying to imagine and it seemed a little too easy to, because I can find someone reporting the event that happened today in Minneapolis from the perspective of the Crown, or from the Colonials. 5/

About a month later, the Incident on King Street happened when a group of protesters refused to disperse and were pelting soldiers with rocks and snowballs, and were beating them, before the soldiers fired from or into the crowd which killed 3 and wounded more. 3/

The shooter was convicted of murder and was to be executed, but later pardoned on the grounds of self-defense and he returned to his job. I don't think many people know about this since it's the cause of a more famous incident, which was one cause to an even more famous event. 2/

The thing about lying is once someone is able to catch and understand a single lie, you end up thinking how often they have been lying or will continue to lie, and why they would lie about something.

Johnson: They go before cameras incredibly and just lie to the American people. Over and over. It's a stunning thing to watch

Trump: "We have Darth Vader. You know Darth Vader, right? Darth Vader is a man who is sitting -- is that Darth? Stand up please. Does everybody know -- they call him Darth Vader, I call him a fine man. But he's cutting Democrat priorities and they're never gonna get them back."

No Kings couldn't have gone better - massive turnout, no violence, and it drove Trump so crazy his response was "Kings are good and I poop on everyone." Best of all was the effect on the millions of participants and everyone watching. My latest at Public Notice: www.publicnotice.co/p/no-kings-p...

publicnotice.coNo Kings was a huge success. Just look at Trump's response.Turnout was enormous. There was no violence. And the wannabe king is triggered.

FDR said something like "The only thing we have to fear is, Fear itself." And the Portland Frog decided to make the situation absurd, comical instead.

I should post something about the White House whitewashing slavery in America, this is in relation to my vtuber avatar being made to look like a Soldier from the American Revolution in 1777, My understanding of American Slavery was that it was more unique in its cruelty and racism than older forms.

From my memory of my public education, I had learned that Slavery was bad and some specifics like the 3/5ths compromise, Mason-Dixon, and the reasons for the Civil War, but I hadn't really comprehended the scale and time that it existed until Juneteenth a few years ago, reading Wikipedia articles.

Slavery started before the United States in the Colonies, but in the founding documents they had decided to not abolish the practice, there was movement towards abolition that later resulted in the British outlawing of Slavery a few years after the War of Independence.

While I can trace my family back to before the American Revolution, I haven't looked into any of their individual history and only know that they've lived through the Appalachian areas, and south of the Mason-Dixon line. I can't say they weren't slaveowners, but I have learned American History.

Not enough people are equating the Trump Tariffs to the Townshed Act, arguably. It's not perfectly comparable but considering the power of Tariffs rests with Congress you can make the same argument that these are a tax that the people have not voted for entirely.

AOC: I don’t care what Elon Musk is doing behind the presidential seal, but in this country we hate Nazis. Kind of like a foundational defining thing. Two of the foundational things about American history is that we beat the confederates and we beat the Nazis.

I want to make 2025 my year, BIG PLANS, At least one good edit video, perhaps a few dozen posts on social media, And lastly, create an alt-account that's just me praising myself because apparently that's just something rich narcissists do.

I've not researched it, but from my understanding of a broad range of science fiction there's never been any grounded explanation for magic if it exists, and maybe I've just not found it yet. So maybe the idea of a grey goo scenario being responsible isn't unique, but I kind of like the idea.

You are up to date.
