why do i have to prove my age twice @bsky.app i already did it once and the second time is asking for a credit card or my driver’s license. that’s not very open protocol of you

what the fuck is this generic ass error??? how the fuck am i supposed to verify my age if the age verifier isn’t even working

i didn’t even do the verification, it just stopped showing up on my phone app and i have no idea how long i’ll retain access

lord of the rings is for people who want to quote bible verses but decided they wanted to be atheist first

the problem with social media is you are either experiencing things worth sharing or y,ou are sharing experiences and without both being your job or one being someone else’s hobby, are exclusionary activities

why would i need an AI when i have “reverse chronological ordering of posts from users i follow”

tbh tho i’m not 100% certain on why attie is bad apart from the broader anti-AI sentiment. i don’t see it as useful, but i do want to understand if there are additional problems people see.

i wonder if grammarly has any suggestions on how to improve the phrase "fuck around and find out", now that they are experts in it

working for Big Tech™️ is not as bad as i thought it would be but the legal red tape required to do Things For Free if it's close to Things They Pay Me For is kinda wild

Foreshadowing is a narrative device in which suggestions or warnings about events to come are dropped or planted. Foreshadowing often appears at the beginning of a story, and it helps develop or subvert the audience's expectations about upcoming events.

apropos of nothing i am going to be writing a lot of Rust soon and i have made the decision that i am not allowed to use any LLMs to help me. only my determination and deterministic tooling allowed, dammit!!!!!

you mean to say you had the opportunity to choose to be anything you wanted and the only thing didn’t choose was to be good?

for every hour of vibe coding i will dedicate one day to hand-writing a bug fix or feature request to an open source repo in need

im gonna make a dumb as fuck coding agent using some 4 bit quantized open source language model with full access to bash and google and name it "clod code"

i’ve been furiously hacking at this for the past week (stress coding to escape the hellscape): tast.ie registration isn’t open right now, but the code is available

if you wanted to avoid using AI-co-developed software, I guess you'd have to start with a snapshot of all code prior to 2022 or so. but then there'd be a bunch of unpatched security bugs. fixing them all would be a large task, but it'd be easy enough to backport the patches with clau-

at what point did phrygian overtake aeolian/natural minor as the preferred minor scale in bass music? i wanna say it was post 2016

i never stopped writing music, i just reduced my capacity for it to making beats on the toilet while i got a good job and got married and all that other life stuff

I am once again looking for visibility for my job hunt. I am open to all forms of security roles. I have done client-facing, GRC, pentesting, cloud, vulnerability stuff, threat hunting, intel, all the good stuff. I'm a self-starter and willing to jump right in to tackle problems.

spoiler: it involves multiple years of prep and failure to break into the new industry, as well as a massive amount of luck and support from people who put their faith in you to succeed
