Switch Zoom channels without menu hunting. macOS: MuteDeck Settings > Other Actions > Open Library. Save “Switching interpreting languages”, then click Save in settings. Assign a Stream Deck key. Interpreters: where would a key help: channels, mute or camera? Try the 7-day free trial, no card.

Andreas’s clients pick the meeting app. He keeps the same Stream Deck mute key, powered by MuteDeck. Try it on your next call: 7 days free, no account or card.

Before booking next week, see where last week’s meeting hours went. Check MuteDeck’s weekly meeting time overview as you review the week. It tracks time by app locally, without mining your calendar or using the cloud. Try it free for 7 days, no card needed.

A call can switch on your desk light without consulting your calendar. Once your Home Assistant helpers and webhook automation to update them are configured, finish in MuteDeck settings > Notifications: turn on Enable Webhook and enter your Home Assistant webhook URL.

Unmute mid-notes without buying another gadget. In MuteDeck settings > Hotkeys, click the Mute/Unmute input box and type your shortcut. The shortcut is active as soon as you type it. Global Hotkeys work from any app. Just keep MuteDeck running. Try 7 days free, no card required.

A giant red mic? That can be your muted icon. Stream Deck plugin 11.0: use the bottom circular selector for MuteDeck’s two supported states, not disabled gray. Plus: Stream Deck icon library. Down arrow: image from your computer. Do it right in the Stream Deck app. Try the 7-day trial with no card.

Someone asks you a question just as you switch your camera off. MuteDeck’s Toggle Mute and Toggle Camera buttons put both controls on your Stream Deck, with keys that show your live state. Try it free for 7 days. No account or card.

Get your meeting back on screen with one button. In Macro Deck, add the MuteDeck action **Bring call to front**. Next time Zoom or Teams is buried under notes, chat, and slides, tap once and the active meeting window jumps to the foreground. Easy one to try on the 7-day free trial.

A MuteDeck test call is the rehearsal for your Macro Deck buttons. On Windows: install and launch MuteDeck. Join a test meeting in Zoom or Teams, check the meeting status in MuteDeck, then try muting from its controls.

Which meeting state would you wire into a webhook automation first: call active or mic muted? Go to MuteDeck settings > Notifications > Enable Webhook and add a URL that handles HTTP POST. Give it a try: toggle mute to send a test POST.

Zoom and Teams shortcuts, plus Google Meet controls, together in one Stream Deck setup. That’s what Yassine, Paid Media Consultant, describes using MuteDeck. Try it on your next call: 7 days free, no account or card needed.

Goodbyes after training shouldn't need a confirmation dialog. For Zoom, drag Leave Meeting from the MuteDeck group onto a separate far-right Stream Deck key. Press it after the goodbyes and you're out, with no confirmation dialog. Try MuteDeck’s 7-day free trial, no card needed.

Installing the Stream Deck plugin is only half the setup. The MuteDeck desktop app needs to be running too. In Stream Deck software, find MuteDeck in the Actions panel (right side), then drag its actions onto your keys.

Keep Google Meet controls in view, whatever language Meet is set to. Install the MuteDeck browser extension alongside the desktop app. The extension handles Meet controls and passes call status to the app. They connect automatically, no settings needed. Try it on your next call.

Busy light question: what should red actually mean at your desk? In MuteDeck, a Plenom Busylight can follow meeting status, so it’s red in a meeting and off when free by default. But at a glance, would you trust call status more, or mute state more?

Teams in the background shouldn't turn your mute key into decoration. Real meeting control should still work from your browser or notes, with live mute and camera status reflected on the Stream Deck keys too. Agree?

meet.jit.si isn’t the only Jitsi site the extension can control. If your org uses a branded or self-hosted Jitsi, add it in the MuteDeck extension: right-click the extension icon → Options → Custom Meeting Sites → Add Site, then Allow. Link in the comments.

Your Macro Deck mute key can finally tell the truth. Bind the button state to `mutedeck_muted` and the icon follows the meeting live. Press mute in Zoom, Teams, wherever, and the key updates with it. Add a toggle action, accept the state binding prompt, set On/Off icons, and try it.

Companion has a built-in push-to-talk preset for MuteDeck. In the Companion web GUI, go to Connections > Add connection, search for MuteDeck, add it, then use the Push-to-talk (hold to unmute) preset. It unmutes while held, and mutes again on release.

Get a clean Zoom control panel instead of playing find-the-mute. If you use MuteDeck with Zoom desktop, turn on Zoom → Settings → Meetings & Controls → Keep meeting controls visible. Then MuteDeck can detect the active call and mirror your mute/video/share state. More here:

Foot pedal mute stops feeling extra the first time your hands are busy. The setup is simple: install from the Elgato Stream Deck Marketplace, then drag MuteDeck actions from the Actions panel (right side) onto the pedal.

Same mute, camera, and leave controls staying put across Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Discord, and Slack beats relearning every meeting app. The point isn't one button per app. It's one layout your hands learn once. Agree or nah?

Need a Stream Deck key for Raise Hand or another meeting shortcut that isn’t built in? Create it in MuteDeck Settings > Other Actions first. Then drag Custom Action onto a key and pick it from Action Name. If the name’s missing, choose another action, then switch back. Link in the comments.

Paying for exactly one Stream Deck plug-in is a pretty good filter. Alan Holmes, Pre-Sales Engineer: “MuteDeck is the only add-on/plug-in for my StreamDeck I pay for, and it's worth it.” Same Stream Deck keys can control Zoom and Teams, with status synced on the keys.

Presenting without the Zoom share-button scavenger hunt feels a lot better. Brandon Wilkins, Business Analyst/Trainer/Presentation Specialist: “Also, one button push for bringing up the share options eliminates looking discombulated trying to find the share button in Zoom directly!”

Land in some random call app and mute still does its job. When MuteDeck sees “No Call Detected,” it falls back to muting your system microphone and reflecting its state. So if you land in some random call app, you still get the same mute control. More here:

Meeting-time stats should stay on your computer. If a weekly meeting overview needs calendar mining or a cloud account, it’s already too nosy. Ours tracks time in each meeting app week over week locally, and even the API Explorer lives at http://localhost:3491?utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=social&u

Notes in one window, meeting in another, and now you need to share. In MuteDeck settings > Hotkeys, click the input box for Screen Share or Mute/Unmute, then type your shortcut. It works right away, even from the app you're typing in. Changed your mind later? Click the trashcan for that action.

MuteDeck browser extension v7.1.0 is out. It adds support for Microsoft Teams personal on teams.live.com, with mute, camera, screen sharing, reactions, and leave controls. Also included: clearer connection errors, more accurate popup status, and Safari startup fixes.

Local API first. Hardware second. With MuteDeck running, open http://localhost:3491?utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=how_to and try GET /v1/status or POST /v1/mute. It’s an unauthenticated local REST API, with built-in Swagger UI too, so you can test status and core meeting buttons

When Companion says OK, your push-to-talk button is ready. In Bitfocus Companion: Connections → Add connection → MuteDeck, then set MuteDeck host to localhost and MuteDeck port to 3492. Once status is OK, use the Push-to-talk preset: hold to unmute, release to mute.

Make your busy light react when a call starts. In MuteDeck settings > Notifications > Enable Webhook, switch it on and paste your URL. MuteDeck will POST on every call, mute, video, share, or recording change. Link in the comments has payload fields and a Home Assistant example.

The status text tells you what MuteDeck is controlling. In MuteDeck, check the status text. “Active Call Detected” + app name means it found your meeting app. “No Call Detected” means system mic control, and video stays gray. If the wrong app shows up, close unused meeting apps.

Control your meeting from any app with one shortcut setup. In MuteDeck settings > Hotkeys, click an action box and press your combo. It goes live immediately for Mute/Unmute, Video Toggle, Screen Share, Record Toggle, and Leave Meeting. Need raise-hand or chat? Use Other Actions instead.

Friday question for people whose day vanished into calls: What would you actually want to see at week’s end: A) total meeting hours B) hours by app C) neither, spare me MuteDeck’s Weekly meeting time overview does B, week over week, locally. No calendar mining, no cloud.

The worst time to check mute is after you’ve started talking. MuteDeck shows your live mute state in a small always-on-top window you can park anywhere. If you mute in Teams or Zoom, the window updates too. You can mute from the MuteDeck window itself. No hardware required.

If the extension icon doesn’t say “Connected to MuteDeck,” web meeting control won’t work. Install the browser extension in Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, join a meeting, then click the icon to check. Link in the comments if you need Safari or Brave setup help.

Interpreters on macOS can put Zoom’s language toggle on one physical key. MuteDeck’s library action “Switching interpreting languages” sends Zoom’s channel toggle, so you can flip without hunting. Useful bit: the setup path is MuteDeck Settings > Other Actions > Open Library.

Your meeting muscle memory can stop resetting. MuteDeck gives you the same core controls in every supported meeting app: Mute/Unmute, Video, Share, Record, and Leave Meeting. Need more? Other Actions covers extras like hand raise or chat. Worth a try if your day bounces between Zoom and Teams.

Martin’s Stream Deck workflow survived the Teams API shutdown. He kept live mute and camera status, and his Teams controls still work while Teams is in the background. If the retired plugin left you stranded, the linked page shows the exact replacement setup.

Unsupported meeting app doesn’t mean flying blind. If MuteDeck finds no supported call, it falls back to system mic control and shows “No call detected. Using system mute.” Only the mic stays active, while camera, share, record, and leave are greyed out.

Leave Meeting exits right away. No “Are you sure?” save. Use it from the MuteDeck window, Stream Deck/Loupedeck/TouchPortal/Macro Deck/Companion plugins, global hotkeys, or the API at `POST /v1/leave`. Helpful tip: put that button somewhere hard to fat-finger.

New in MuteDeck v4.12: Test Webhook. Go to Settings → Notifications, pick a meeting state, preview the message, and send it without joining a call. Finally, webhook testing that does not require scheduling a fake meeting with yourself. Again.
