Democrat electeds are straight-up trying to get DSA designated as a terrorist organization by pretending that they're sending these white powder envelopes. These people are not your "misguided allies" or whatever. They're dangerous, they're playing for keeps, and they have to be stopped.

How the Seahawks won the SB with Darnold is a testament to how truly great the defense is/was. He had one lucky streak of no INT games. Tom Brady was very critical of Darnold during the Niner game of all the bad decisions he was making. Can it hurt to try Drew Luck?

The Regime started with a target they assume Democrats and mainstream elites wouldn't defend. That's always the strategy. But if they can come for Ilhan Omar, they can come for you too. Count on it.

When a progressive or DSA member launches a primary campaign against a sitting House Democrat, Hakeem Jeffries and other leaders go nuclear to defend that sitting member. But what if Republicans threaten a sitting Democrat with arrest after raiding her home? Same vigor and intensity, I'm sure, no?

Gavin Newsom backs measure to kill the billionaire tax and ban future wealth taxes Gov. Gavin Newsom isn't just fighting the billionaire tax. He's backing Prop. 42, which would ban future wealth taxes in California, too.

When I argue that this AI doomsday stuff is marketing hype, I mostly get ignored and I think I know why: people don't understand why "our product will destroy humanity" is an advertising pitch for the product. You're right. It's counterintuitive. But here's why www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-ne...

nbcnews.comWhat might an AI doomsday look like? Experts have given it some thoughtResearchers have worried about the increasing power of AI systems for years, but an explosion of interest has ignited old controversies about exactly how AI will cause chaos.

Could #AI CEOs warnings' about AI's risks to humanity actually be an attempt to get government protections from damage liability their companies will cause? @deanbaker13.bsky.social thinks so. Read this week's #AIBubbleMonitor. #econsky cepr.net/publications...

cepr.netThe AI Bubble MonitorIs there an AI bubble? Some indicators point to one — and when bubbles burst, there can be massive shocks in housing and job markets that last for years.

I am suspicious of many politicians who do not have a left agenda but all of a sudden want to regulate AI. It seems AI might want to get regulated, and that cannot be good for taxpayers or consumers.

I have never seen a sports franchise pull so much sh*t out of their *ss than the Seattle Seahawks. Year after year. Pete Carroll was the king of it, but McDonald aint bad at it either (McDonald seems to me way better coach than Carroll).

Vote blue no matter who was always a smokescreen for ensuring a continuation of the status quo - no medicare for all, no child care for all, more ICE funding, more Israel funding, a continuation of the most expensive drug costs in the world etc... jacobin.com/2026/09/mich...

jacobin.comCentrist Democrats Are Trying to Throw the Michigan RaceAbdul El-Sayed’s Senate race could decide control of the chamber. Yet some centrist Democrats are openly working to sink his campaign — because they’d rather hand the seat to a Trump-backed Republican...

Third Way Democrats plan to spend $15 million attacking democratic socialist House and Senate candidates. We need every single seat we can win in November, but these folks seem to be of the view that we should "vote blue no matter who" only when centrists constitute the who.

He also said he doesn't support abolishing ice. So tell us Hakeem Jeffries, what the fuck do you support? What policies do you support? What DO you fucking believe in? Strongly worded letters? This is why establishment dems suck and poll at about 20% nationwide. They believe in nothing......

Pro tennis idea. Each match has a set $ pool. And how much $ you earn for that match is based on the % of games you win. Winner gets to move on to play for higher stakes, up to the final. This rewards great close matches. Maybe each gets a base amt to begin with as well

my feelings on this are pretty straightforward: if you have a problem with poor people having greater access to less expensive food then you’re a fucking psycho.

Weird how much discourse around the Mamdani grocery stores ignores the existence of the Green Cart intiative (launched under Bloomberg) that provides subsidized fruit and vegetable stands across the city under the exact same logic as the grocery stores

i refuse to read theory because i also just refuse to read but i assume that the joint democrat-republican red scare we are getting about the dsa really is a predictable step in capital defending itself against its own excesses

my wife just lamented not having an avocado for her sandwich and i thought to myself that is like sex without an orgasm. So, did i steal that from some comedian? She says yes, I say no (if i did, it was from the back of the brain).

NYT has a reference to a "Shadow Fleet" tanker (of which the US attacked and killed 3 crew members). Can someone give me a legal definition of that? Or does it just mean a tanker the NYT disapproves of?

Just stopped reading Seveneves, a sci fi book with decent acclaim (and written by a Seattelite actually). It seems like he is trying to be the Proust of science fiction. I managed a book or two of Proust, but that is as far as I will go. Just tooooo much minutiae.

If they can do to one, they will do & try to make all states the same. We did not punish the losers in the civil war harsh enough. The GOP needs to be thrown out, destroyed, & never allowed to gain any seats, ever again. They & MAGA are a stain on this country, which may never survive from.

GOP changed the map but Dems helping to lose black reps. if there is any left in florida they must get rid of this fully owned israeli robot. go all in on one opponent, national left needs to raise money. wasserman wields a lot of party influence with the worst dems in the House. she gots ta go

I see coach K's (long time Duke university head men's basketball coach) grandson killed a bicyclist and the article briefly mentioned a misdemeanor. He was over the legal limit for alcohol. The war on bicycles continues.

All the Democrats who are, essentially, rubbing the ceasefire in Trumps face should instead be glad he did the right thing (regardless of it maybe being for the wrong reasons). I would hate to think they are actually intentionally doing it to start the war again (AIPAC Democrats!)

Sorry Jack Hughes, but everything (especially these days) is political. Attending the state of the union is a tacit approval of the current President. You and your team are being used. Or, perhaps you agree with the policies of this administration.

following up on the Duvall post, my wife's father was very much like Santini. I explained the (what I consider famous) basketball scene to her and she said it was the same with her father, except a soccer ball (he was born in Germany).

ESPN hates tennis. Their coverage is atrocious. Running a mid season college basketball game into its coverage is an insult to tennis and the Australian Open. They should be banned from tennis coverage. @ESPN

Today, I was in the Safeway on 75th and Roosevelt and as I was leaving was asked for my receipt. This type of pseudo police action is out of a fever dream of Donald Trump's imagination. How about feeding the poor, or better yet, have a society that allows people to eat without having to shoplift!
