I’m just sick about the state of my government. I’m going to sew now.

Look #birdsky a Varied Thrush in my backyard this morning. So pretty. The orange is brighter than my pic suggests.

This dog has life pretty good. I say things to him like, would you like me to open the door so you can be inside and yet have fresh air? (Fall in NorCal is so beautiful. Mild temps, warm sun, the bugs are all gone by now so the doors can just hang open.)

I am almost certain to outlive him. I am 19 years younger, in relatively good health, thank God. (There was this little experience with a rare kind of ovarian cancer, which is behind me now). I am walking every day and taking vitamin D, just got my flu shot. 💪

I am looking forward to that happy day when he is well and truly gone. I want every person who stupidly voted for him to see and know what a huge mistake that was. They stole my beloved country. I will never think about the U.S. the same way, never again.

Today I did something I do periodically which is look up how many days are left in his presidency: 832.

I’ve been alive a pretty long time and yet I’m still finding it to be a new experience for my president to threaten to shove something up my ass.

I bought a plane ticket to go to Wisconsin, which is far away. I am not allowed a checked bag or even a carry-on, so I guess I will wear 5 layers of clothing and put my toothbrush in my purse. Skivvies balled up, under my bucket hat. “What do you mean, it’s just a bucket hat.”

Now, my dad believes that the horrible man will resign if the dems take back congress this fall. He will wrangle a preemptive pardon from JD, then slink off to MAL, safe from prosecution for his crimes.

I don’t think he is capable of the necessary internal admission this would require, that he is vulnerable, that he has done crimes, that he’s at the end of the road. His pathology is bigger than that.

There is an ongoing argument in my extended family as to whether he makes it through the end of his term. I say yes… the pot boils or simmers, but we get to Jan 20 2029 before he goes ….it’s a long time, but we’ll get there. The damage will take decades to repair, if it’s even possible ….

Mr Henshawe, on the other hand, asserts that the horrible man will steal another term, then another, and essentially, we will never be rid of him. I disagree with this thesis, because the horrible man appears to be in horrible health, and his purloined billions cannot buy his health back ….

Among many things Trump does not understand is what a disgrace it is to plead for (and get) special treatment. He has done it all his life. He stole the joy of the game for me and probably others.
