It’s been ages but we have officially been publishing at LaCronica.iceout.org We’re a team of independent journalists at People over Papers (lots of veteran reporters joining!). Some extensively researched deep dives coming soon but in the meantime we do weekly roundups on trends in ice activity!

Update for those that have noticed no new articles. We decided to delay the launch (while keeping the site up) to July to do some more journalistic training and prepare a more formal media statement. Our first new story will be a big one so stay tuned!

iceout.org is migrating its substack blog to Ghost as “La Crónica” which launches on Tuesday !! ➡️ lacronica.iceout.org ⬅️ Thank you to those that made us aware of Substack’s platforming of right wingers & overall shittyness. #ICE #iceout #immigration #dhs

This take is so funny cuz they don’t even “rationalize” the officers actions. just say they got involved w/ law enforcement that had “nothing to do w them”. So basically “i dont get involved because im a pussy w/ no values & am scared they might shoot me even tho i support them & their actions.”

I’m so heartbroken and defeated over the shooting in Minneapolis. Pure evil

So far I haven’t seen a single mention of the Bary Weiss nixed 60 minutes segment leaking online from NYT or WaPo …

Threads is depressing cuz it’s all boring engagement bait like “listen, I’m a white liberal, but trans…”

Why do I want Bluesky to succeed more than I enjoy using it 😭😭
