I just spent five minutes frantically trying to clean off a 'scuff mark' on the tile floor that turned out to be part of the pattern.

So far today, I have arranged to have my car windshield replaced, met with a landscaper, and called to schedule an electrician (new landscaping lights require a new outdoor outlet). Having made chitchat with three strangers, I am now an empty husk.

I was so proud of myself for getting my oil changed so I could check that off my list. A couple of hours after picking the car up, I discovered the windshield had sprung a crack. No point of impact. Maybe a pothole-provoked frame flex? Anyway, something new for the list.

Was feeling bored yesterday, so I picked up some scam phone calls. After the caller inevitably refused to acknowledge me asking what organization they were with, I'd start intoning that they were doing the work of the devil, God would surely punish them for their evil deeds, etc. until they hung up.

Well that's rude: I'm practicing Sarah Bareilles' "Gravity" and every time I land the high note, the cat yowls. I'm not saying he's wrong, but it's rude.

I've got a 10-skein, 1350 yard gradient yarn set that I love and I'm trying to figure out what to knit or crochet with it. It's too much yardage to pair with something else for a 2-color brioche shawl, but there's not enough value range in the gradient to split it and pair it with itself. Hmm.
