Today I struggled to translate "stop cock" for the sanitaire. #Expatlife. Turns out you should use WAY less (10%) detergent than the box says. It had hardened to a brick in there. And only ever fill it halfway w/clothes. Good lessons, even if we never got to stop cock.

Got to discuss the @saloneurope.bsky.social with an excellent Parisian/Manchester writer/translator I've met a couple times at conferences. It's incredibly gratifying to find someone interested in a thing you value hugely. And to connect them with each other. A small part of a day, #BigImpact.

I wish they hadn't sprayed Roundup outside. Three days later, I can still smell it & maybe I have a cold all of a sudden, or maybe the fatigue and sore throat are psychosomatic. Or maybe it's the Roundup. I'd rather have weeds. #WeedsPlease!
