Happy first day of early michigan voting. Vote for benson, Gilchrist, Savitt, Dr El-Sayed, Dingell, Camilleri, Shannon Darw Wayne, for MMOP ballot proposal and *NO* on the state constitutional convention

Okay folks, I'm going to humbly ask canvassing calls to accept it when I tell them I'm working uncapped/unpaid overtime while having 2 campaign finance reports due this Monday. As A pac treasurer I have and am mailing checks to your candidate, accept that's the best I can do right now

Thinking of doing another Trade Union starter pack for international unions. Would anyone beninterested? If so, what countries you want me to track down? Already found a number of German unions and various internstional union federation stuff, anything else?

I've usually tried to stay out drama (even more successfully rhis year after working on myself) but there area few accounts here, technically on our side, who are outside MI & taking shots at high profkle races here. I'm startinf to get fed up with that& its making me want to ignore my no drama rule

I wwnt looking for a "disbelieve picture" to use for my rraction on seeing 122 of you follow an account that just put up Wsws news crap (who's choaen candidate finished deadlast) on the uaw today, but I'll just say instead that some folks need to think on what they put up...

I've only seen the first episode of Crystal Lake but I like the subversion of Giallo notes, will watch the rest. We'll get back to your regularly scheduled politics and labor poating tomorrow

Not gonna get involved in the latest "discourse on X" postbreactions that someone posted on Bluesky (and is going around) except to say this: for attention to ever leave X the sports leagues have to leave and leave publicly, otherwise Musj survives off pure inertia

I know everyone here is smart and knows this election isn't tge end. But reminder, 2028 isn't gonna be the end. This works goes on as there's still injustice and once evil enters the political system it takes a long time to exercise

Canadians should NOT be traveling to the US. Our sovereignty is under threat. Our economy is under threat. The US has fallen and is regularly committing egregious human rights violations. ICE has locked up Canadians. Boycott America. Vote with your dollar & stand against fascism.

Today across Wisconsin, union members gathered to get trained and ensure every vote is counted this election cycle. Our union, our right, our vote!

Michael Tracey published what he said was the ID of the "Jane Doe" in the Cornell case. Then he took it down, claiming he just wanted to make a point and didn't want to see harm to the person he named. What he hasn't admitted is that he mistook info on a sketchy site for official NY court records.

What I'm hearing is the Eminem lyrics are fake, repeat the Eminem lyrics are apparently fake (and a lot of folks with credibility who bought into it have...quietly deleted). Having said that? His decision to collaborate with Kid Rock is...quite bad

For the Senator Schmitt Hawks/Hawkeye gaffe, here's a theory: it wasn't andumb mistake but, rather an attempt to do a hit job and drop "collusion" & "perjury" charges on camera and not give anyone a chance to refute. The way he didn't want others to see it makes me think he tried to pull a fast one

BILLIONAIRES: We’re not ‘confiscating’ anything. 45 years ago, you made society a promise that if we reduced your taxes, you would use some of that money to improve conditions for all Americans. Instead, you chose to do the opposite. You had a great ride…your greed is why we’re here. ➡️ TAX THE RICH!

Prediction hat- Jocelyn Benson despite being ignored on Bluesky and criticized by Dems on facebook, probably wins Governor by more than Dr El-Sayed wins US Senate. Though to be fair, from the digital a d TV ads I'm seeing, James has already been triaged as I'm seeing almost nothing

In response to the NY Magazine (damnit NYM, I thought you were one of the good outlets) but this almost makes me want to do a list of the good folks I've met in politics, but I'm afraid of potentially betraying privacy or otherwise, because there's lots of good folks

While I'm no one terribly important, in my time I've been in some rooms. And the folks I've been blessed to know have, for the most part, been good people. Candidates and insiders in the MDP botj. And I've been blessed to know so many. Are there flaws? Sure, we're talking about people, but good

Evan Barker quit the Democratic Party and voted for Trump. Now she’s telling (a few) stories about what she saw in a new book that mixes gossip and condemnations of ‘woke.’ Her old colleagues aren’t happy.

Interesting historical note: Tammany Hall, which dominated NYC politics until the late 60s, started as a social club.

Literally what is with this rise of "actually the local Dem party should fulfill all my social needs" takes I am not doing movie night with Dems. I am not joining a Dem volunteer soccer league. I am not joining Democratic speed dating. Stop using politics as secular church!!!!

Okay, I'd love to fuck around on Bluesky with you all all night, but I have to leave tonight to help QB a Meet the Democratic Candidates night in a bit (please god let us get better turnout than in 24)

When a much bigger account than me subscribes to takes on the discourse I consuder wrong (at least as it applies to Bluesky) to the point of almost being bad faith and I'm tempted to comment or quotepost

This prompts a good discussion: whilr US Senate has been talked to death, what House seats or Governorships (or hell state legislatures as a whole) do we think flip?

one thing about the speed of the nosedive for Rs in polling is that a *lot* of more obscure races are not recently polled, so they may be reporting numbers from a redder time (last week) you may remember this phenomenon from such hits as "Hillary Clinton's Blue Wall"
