I will be honest. Border security is kind of a non-issue, that unfortunately politicians kind of have to deal with. I'm being real, they're much eaiser ways of sneaking into the United States than through our borders. And drugs? I don't know decriminalization, and drug programs like Portugal.

I like Dan Osborn, and I do get why he's running on border security, and such. Because that's what his state wants. This isn't an attack on him or anything. But I just don't get why it's an issue we have to deal with. I mean it's not just a GOP & Independent thing, fucking Obama ran on it.

Sometimes you don't really want to know your parents opinions on certain issues when you grow up, because you do not want to hate them for the rest of the time you have to spend with them. This is why I didn't ask my parents their opinion on trans people, because if they were POS, it'd be unfun.

Should you vote for Democrats who have said questionable shit on trans people? Eh, depends, I'd say. If it's a particularly close race where it'll matter, and hurt Republicans, and the Democrat is better than the Republican still, yeah. But if they are truly a POS, and are very close to the GOP, eh.

I ain't really going to fault trans people or Muslims who are pissed at the Democratic party for selling them out. It probably is best to vote blue no matter who, BUT, it is really easy to say that when I am not as effected as a trans person directly.

Amy Acton, yeah, Vivek will be much worse, what she said was pretty shitty, but she did particularly backtrack, and did end up saying she'll get anti LGBTQ discrimination laws pass as a campaign promise, and ultimately what she said was a comment about sports in June.

I find it kind of funny, and sad that a former blue-dog democrat from Alaska treats trans people better than @joshturek4iowa.bsky.social. Mind you the blue-dog democrats are the most conservative democratic caucus. Although she no longer is in the blue-dogs.

Like mate? What the hell are you thinking on your idea to fuck over trans people on medicaid. You couldn't even just stick to the bullying techniques of sports, you have to go the whole nine yards? You're telling queer folks, "fuck off". You're in a very tight race, is it worth loosing queer folk?

I remember trying to convince my class to implement ranked choice voting in a class. We had several 'fun' choices, but if no one could reach a majority, we would all do an assignment. I fell sort by one vote on establishing ranked choices voting that day.
