#VanRiseFC defeated Calgary Wild 3-2 at Swangard in an effort to claim the final playoff spot in the #NSL. But they'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if it was enough. Post-match report is here. area51sportsnet.com/rise-push-in...

FT Thoughts: - Got the win, but a bit nervous at times - Pante solid throughout - McAslan with a number of big 2nd-half saves - De Filippo adds to her Golden Boot credentials - Good to see Woeller on the pitch - Now...we wait for Halifax-Toronto tomorrow... #VanRiseFC

81' - SUB - Abdu is on for Okamoto. #VanRiseFC

77' - Swangard Stadium is TENSE right now. The Wild are pushing #VanRiseFC, and the home side's lead is tenuous at best.

72' - SUB - Yekka is coming on. Wright is off. #VanRiseFC

69' - GOAL - Some messy defending as the Wild get their second goal. Baucom gets on the end of it near the edge of the 6-yd box and powers it in. #VanRiseFC

57' - 🟨 - Bout. #VanRiseFC

53' - GOAL - De Filippo comes on and does what she does! Great build-up from #VanRiseFC. Bout's cutback to De Filippo gives the striker space for a great shot.

45' - SUB - Lamontagne is off. De Filippo is on. #VanRiseFC

HT Thoughts: - #VanRiseFC have something at stake; Wild don't, and it shows - Pante on a heater - chippy gameat times - Tumeth strong today - Reyes's injury; hope it's not a bad one - Aulicino's goal; sometimes you have to give credit where it's due - Lamontagne still limping

45+2' - GOAL - Aulicino hits one over McAslan from just outside the 18-yard box. #VanRiseFC

Asked today about what he’s going to do to keep the Whitecaps in town, premier designate Lorne Doerkson calmly replies he’s going to talk to the Caps but also admits he really doesn’t know enough about the situation. ‘Trust me when I say this: British Columbia loves the Whitecaps.’ So we’ll see.

35' - GOAL - Pante with the brace! What patience to round the keeper and pass the ball into the back of the net. Lamontagne with the great forward ball into Pante's run. #VanRiseFC

23' - SUB - Longhurst is in for Reyes. #VanRiseFC

19' - Tumeth's powerful header is saved off the line by a Wild defender! Great set-piece corner from Oularbi. #VanRiseFC

18' - Pante with another great run down the left! Just not able to get past the defender. #VanRiseFC

18' - Good save from McAslan. #VanRiseFC

7' - GOAL - Pante gets #VanRiseFC going! What a great individual effort to race down the left side, cut into the box, hold up and switch to her right foot. The blast is right by the near post!

Game on! #VanRiseFC

Stanton and Oularbi are rare starters. And Woeller is on the bench! The captain may get her first minutes of the season. #VanRiseFC

A tired performance from #VWFC as they leave Colorado with a 1-0 loss. @joshuarey.bsky.social has the post-match report.

FT Thoughts: - #VWFC looked gassed halfway through the 2nd half - Takaoka played amazingly, but didn't have a team support him - 2.02-0.26 xG favouring Rapids - FC Dallas's win puts pressure on 'Caps

81' - GOAL - Another quality save from Takaoka, but the ball bounces up on the crossbar and back into play. Whittaker heads it in. #VWFC

74' - SUB - Larraz is off for Cvetkovic. #VWFC

62' - Takaoka. Sixth save of the match. #VWFC

57' - #VWFC need to buy Takaoka a beer on the flight home.

51' - This is better from #VWFC

45' - SUB - Badwal is on for Diaby. #VWFC

HT Thoughts: - Very noticeable lack of offence - Takaoka has been alert - Second to balls, overworked passes, missed tackles - Hope Sabbi injury is minimal - Need a jumpstart for the second half #VWFC

25' - Caicedo is on for the injured Sabbi. #VWFC

11' - #VWFC are playing with fire here. Can't get out of their end.

Game on! #VWFC

Larraz returns to Colorado for the first time and gets the start. Priso and Blackmon take the CB pairing. Last match's goalscorers, Gauld and Diaby, both start as well. #VWFC

FT Thoughts: - Diaby with a beautiful goal to win it - Cvetkovic, Cubas decent in midfield - Caicedo solid on the left - White will be kicking himself over that miss - Need to clean up mistakes - With St. Louis's loss, this is a huge 3 points towards securing the West #VWFC

85' - Takaoka! What a save! #VWFC

81' -SUBS - Sabaly and Larraz are on. Sabbi and Cvetkovic are off. #VWFC

79' - White is all alone on Stuver, and.....misses. A bit too much thinking before the shot. #VWFC
