📣 WE NEED YOUR INPUT! Nebraska PTA is headed to Washington D.C. next week to advocate for issues impacting students, families, and public schools! Will you share you story with us?

We'll be talking to them about: - Fully investing in programs like IDEA and Title-I, - Protecting immigrant children and families, - Restoring funding for SNAP, - Strengthening school-family partnerships, - Ensuring children's safety online, and - Protecting schools from violence.

Congratulations to Meadow Lane Elementary for receiving one of National PTA's "Ready, Tech, Go!" program grants! Their PTA maintained compliance and was able to apply for the grant last fall. They will receive $1,500 to help families build knowledge and skills to use technology safely.

Compliance Guide: 1. Use Givebacks, the FREE platform for local units, to enter in your current PTA officers and report membership on a monthly basis. 2. The following items should be submitted in Givebacks: - Proof of Insurance (AIM) - Member-approved Budget - Financial Review Form

📣 Compliance Reminder: Your PTA will need to have three items submitted in Givebacks (nonprofits.givebacks.com) by September 30th: ✅ Proof of Insurance (units typically use AIM aim-companies.com/pta-coverage/) ✅ Member-Approved Budget ✅ Financial Review Form

✅ September is a good time to get organized and make sure your PTA has the proper documentation to maintain compliance and good standing. Let's get started!

3. Upload proof of filing taxes into Givebacks by October 31st: - Form 990-N (e-Postcard). 4. Updated Bylaws due by December 1st: - Standard Unit Bylaws - Vote on amendments and upload this form into Givebacks
