i do like how that plot point's been handled so far. with your tropey traumatized fantasy protag it's often just an inciting incident and motivation for "i fight for my friends!!!!" but emiya has like fifteen layers of survivor's guilt and various complexes influencing every decision he makes

i very strongly do not like that shirou makes saber feel more self-conscious about being in potentially romantic situations. like idc if they're crushing on each other and/or acting on it but i hate that she's become less stoic and more uwu blushy love interest
