I know everyone likes to show off their fabulous finished models when they have an influx of new followers (hello!), so let's do this differently. Here's four of my favourite #WIP projects for you to enjoy! #HappyPainting #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity

Oracle Witch from Indaco Models. This was a quick piece to take to SMC as a second entry. Three days' work, and I plan to revisit it in the future as there's a lot to adjust, but it's a pretty model and I felt it worth sharing.

New project. Fun bust from Zaba Art to just practice some textures and volumes. Trying to paint fur is a fun challenge. Two hours of noodling so far, but let's see how long until I'm bored and call it finished.

Back on the @heresyminiatures.com giant, Mucklegeet. Left is the updated shot but different lighting. Realised there was more to do on the eyes and expression; happier with the updated version. There's paint in places there shouldn't be, but it won't be when finished! Will finish this weekend.

The posts about this project are getting so suppressed on Facebook, can you give me a hand? Launching Wed 21st October, 20 brand new miniatures - hand sculpted and hand cast. Deeply researched non conventional members of the Dutch Resistance! www.kickstarter.com/projects/bad...

Sat in Heathrow T4 and just saw a hungover looking man walk out the WH Smith with a large box of Quality Street and he simply started eating them. Fair play.

Progress. It's quite cold tones at the moment, and as I want her to feel like a nice witch, next step is bringing warmth back.

Fun day out at Spru. Said hello to friends and bought a few models from Vae Victims, Finsterfey and Owlshield (Necropolis28). A promising first year event!

It's a week until #SPRU. Excited to get back up to Nottingham for the first time in a couple of years. If anyone's around next week, a couple of us will be at WHW on Friday afternoon too.

Obviously that's Vae Victis, despite my tiredness and my phone's insistence on autocorrect. Well done, Dave.

Alone mini bust from Mindworks Art Studio. Been a while since I picked up the brushes for anything other than tabletop so this was a nice, quick project to spend a couple of hours on. Size comparison against a penny for the size queens among you.

This was great. Thoroughly enjoyed it with my son. Never saw it on the big screen in the 80s, so being able to experience it with the boy was a real moment. The little tribute for Peter Cullen at the end got the room pretty darned dusty. Goodness.

The mighty Count Binface. I didn't want to paint it in black and grey like every other version, so I imagined this is how he looks when strolling through woodlands on his home planet, with his natural colours, rather than the dowdiness he's forced to endure when visiting our planet.

Just booked a ticket for #SPRU in September up in Nottingham. Looks fun, and dovetailed beautifully into my weekend plans. Hopefully see a few of you there. sprucon.com

Heroes for Dungeon Saga Origins: barbarian, ranger, paladin and fighter. We've been playing this a lot in our gaming group recently and thoroughly enjoying it. As a result, I thought it was time they were painted, albeit quickly. Lovely game from @manticgames.bsky.social. Definitely recommended.

Gretchin. Had a friend visiting this weekend and we thought it would be fun to try a one hour speedpaint and here's our results.

I'm at the airport to pick up a friend, and I'm embarrassed by the number of people my age holding up the speaker end of their mobile phone to their ear, rather than use the phone as it's intended. This is my petty frustration for today.

This weekend I attended my first #Dogma48 weekender. Bit off more than I could chew for 48 hours, and wouldn't say it's close to finished so technically I failed, but I started with a primed model and happy to get the ambiance and two characters finished. Happy with what I achieved in the time.

Here's the WIP shots from last week in the lead-up to the event. I've had this idea in my head for six years, so I'm excited to carry on and see it to completion now.

Bit more work on this, trying to finish it up for a weekend deadline. Adding detail that almost no-one will ever see, but that I find pleasing.

Chaos Lord on Demonic Steed. Another addition to the slow-grow army. At this rate, it'll be ready to play in 2136. #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Warhammer #TheOldWorld

Watched the England vs Argentina game last night with my son. When Argentina's second goal went in, they cut to the crowd looking mournful and my son said "that old lady looks sad" ... ... it was Mick Jagger, and yet he wasn't wrong.

I notice recently resigned politicians standing for byelections are doing a lot of talking, and not a lot of actual good for their constituency. I propose a little less conversation, and a little more Clacton.

Gerda von Evilstein. Latest addition to my slow grow Warriors of Chaos army. #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Warhammer #TheOldWorld

Gary. New gnome addition to the garden. £2 from Poundland, bit of spraying, bit of painting and he's ensconced in the garden to keep our other gnomes, Barry & Larry, company.

WIP shot of my beautiful nob ... an Ork Nob, obviously. Weather has meant I've been doing Not Painting Things, but finally back to the desk and making progress. #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity #Armageddon #Orks

Things you don't expect at plasma donation. The gift of a Metallica endorsed t-shirt celebrating donors. If you donate blood and haven't done recently, you have until 3rd July to get in on that.

First game of 40k 11th edition this evening. Not bad. Faster to play, even if we skipped a few rules on the way. Rule access is still a friction point. Had to pull in my old Space Wolves as a proxy for the unbuilt new ones, and my Orks need more work, but it was just nice to get time on the table.
