Nickxcom

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Halloween II (1981, Rick Rosenthal) On UHD in this insanely sick Steelbook from #NSMRecords. I've seen this movie about a billion times, but it's spooky season, so now's a perfect time for a rewatch! Let's fucking GO 💪🏻 🍿 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Cybernator (1991, Robert Rundle) On Blu-ray from @terrorvisionvids.bsky.social / #CellarDweller I was in the mood for a low budget sci-fi movie and this one should more than fit the bill. Let's fucking GO! #filmsky #horrorsky #scifi #physicalmedia

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom #giallo theater: What Have You Done to Solange? (1972, Massimo Dallamano) On UHD in this beautiful deluxe box set from @severinfilms.bsky.social This will be a first-time watch for my girlfriend (but NOT for me!). Let's fucking GO 🔪 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

3/5. A fun little SOV horror flick. Interesting & well-written Exorcist-'inspired' possession story, likable cast, unironically good music. No nudity and basically no gore, but honestly if you're in the mood for a trip to SOV-land, you could do worse! Check it out!

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom SOV theater: Mirror of Death aka Dead of Night (1988, Deryn Warren) On Blu-ray from @terrorvisionvids.bsky.social I've not seen this one before, but there's honestly NEVER a bad time for SOV horror 📹📹📹📹📹 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom "girlfriend is out of the house theater": Faces of Death III (John Alan Schwartz, 1985) On UHD from @vinsyn.bsky.social as part of their VSA line. I haven't seen this one before, so I'm curious! Have any of YOU seen this entry? 🤔 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

3/5. I don't LOVE this one like 1&2 but it was still a fun watch. Great setting, plenty of scares, good music & practical effects, interesting story, fantastic cast. This one would make a good triple-bill with "The Lift" & "Demons 2" for maximum apartment action. Recommended if you like the series!

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Poltergeist III (1988, Gary Sherman) On Blu-ray as part of this weird double-pack. Despite watching 1&2 frequently, I haven't seen III in probably 20 years. Let's fix that, shall we?? Let's fucking GO 🍿💪🏻🍿💪🏻🍿💪🏻 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Marebito (2004, Takashi Shimizu) On DVD from #TartanVideo One of my all-time favorite Japanese horror movies and another "stuck on a DVD that's out of print" situation. It isn't on any streaming sites either! #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

4.5/5. An excellent & claustrophobic creature feature & one of my favorite horror movies of its era. Great cast, unique story, extremely well paced, great kills & plenty of gore, wonderful creature design, excellent music and one HELL of an ending (honestly, either version!). 100% recommended!

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: The Descent (2005, Neill Marshall) On UHD in this sick Steelbook from @lionsgate.com I have a life-long love affair with this movie, and it was the reason I bought a region free DVD player back in the day! Let's fucking GO🍿 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmefia

To the best of my knowledge, this one does not have a Sick Flicks video from @horrorgeek.bsky.social but a Franco cannibal movie ? "Hell yeah" Danny would be working overtime here 😆.

3.5/5. Probably my favorite of the "Fulci Presents" series so far! Solid cast of genre regulars, plenty of nudity & sleeze, good practical gore effects & kills, great music & a surprisingly effective & interesting story means this is one low-budget Italian horror flick worth watching for genre fans!

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: The Murder Secret (1988, Mario Bianchi) On UHD from @vinsyn.bsky.social I haven't seen this one yet, but I've at the very least gotten a kick out of the whole series of "Lucio Fulci Presents" releases. Let's fucking GO 🍿💪🏻 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

3.5/5. A true "only on DVD" gem of a slasher. The unique setting helps this one stand apart from its peers, & its earnest approach & international origin means I view it with a MUCH less jaded eye than I do many of the other US slashers of the period. Definitely worth tracking down a copy!

3.5/5. Pretty solid & enjoyable little creature feature- I can't believe I haven't seen this one before! Interesting story, likable cast, some solid creature effects & gore. Even my girlfriend liked this one, & she rarely enjoys the kind of flick! Would make a great double bill with "The Suckling"

4/5. Bumping this up a half point from my watch last year, because I enjoyed it more this time. A slasher/thriller with extremely good vibes. Well shot & directed, decent acting from a good cast, good "mystery" story, some solid kills (but basically no gore to speak of). Recommended for slasher fans

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Sweet Sixteen (1983, Jim Sotos) On UHD in this awesome deluxe box from @vinsyn.bsky.social I DO actually own the older Blu-ray from @88films.bsky.social, but I haven't seen it in a bit. Let's fucking GO 💪🏻🍿💪🏻🍿 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Pearl (2022, Ti West) Watching on UHD from #TurbineMedien, as it has the "Technicolor" color timing. As you can see from the picture, I MAY enjoy this movie and/or have a problem 😁 Let's fucking GO 🐊🐊🐊🪓🪓🪓 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Sorority Row (2009, Stewart Hendler) Blu-ray from Summit Entertainment. One of the least offensive of the wave of horror remakes that were all hitting around the same time & I DO remember liking it a lot in the theater. 📽️📽️ #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

#physicalmedia pickups "I missed a week" edition! Got my big summer order from @vinsyn.bsky.social, tons and tons of rare and out of print stuff from my local used place and the third picture is my Amzn store glitch haul #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Graduation Day (1981, Herb Freed) On Blu-ray from #Troma as part of their "Tromatic Special Edition" line. I've seen this one a couple times before, but it's always a good time for a slasher. Let's fucking GO #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

5/5. One of the best thrillers of all time and one of my favorite animated films of all time. Perfect Blue isn't an "easy" watch, but it is a powerful one that asks tons of profound questions about identity. 100% recommended.

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Perfect Blue (1997, Satoshi Kon) On UHD from @gkids.com in this insanely nice deluxe box. I could watch this movie on an infinite loop and never get bored, but it's a first-time watch for my friend. Let's fucking GO #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Island of the Fishmen (1979, Sergio Martino) On Blu-ray from #DeliriumHomeVideo This is a movie I've never even HEARD of before, but a Martino-helmed creature feature sounds absolutely fantastic! Let's fucking GO 💪🏻🍿 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedai

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Spider-Man (2002, Sam Raimi) UHD is pictured here for example purposes only- I'm actually watching a 35mm print scan with the original theatrical DTS audio 👌🏻 I vividly remember how much I enjoyed this one in theaters! LFG 💪🏻 🍿 #filmsky #actionsky #superhero

#nowshowing in the Nickxcom theater: Shallow Grave (1987, Richard Styles) On Blu-ray from @vinsyn.bsky.social. A slasher movie I still haven't seen yet? It's possible after all lol. Have any of YOU seen this one? 🤔 Let's fucking GO 💪🏻 🍿 💪🏻 🍿 #filmsky #horrorsky #physicalmedia
