The fact that someone with lots of money can even attempt to use "suicide risk" as an excuse for a permanent injunction is monstrous. No such avenue is open to people like Lucy Meadows, hounded to suicide simply for being who she was.

December this year marks ten years since the official launch of the Galileo GNSS. Some people thought it was a waste of money at the time, with GPS already available. But given the messing about with Starlink we've seen, it looks to have been a prudent move. And hopefully not the last such.

Yes, violence against women and girls is a problem, #r4today. Maybe if you and your mates hadn't decided to waste so much time and effort hating trans people, we'd be closer to solutions.

I caught something on the news last night with Wes Streeting talking about discussions with Pete Hegseth. That must be such a weird relationship, unless perhaps they bond over a shared desire for testosterone. Love that for the pair of them. They both truly deserve every awkward moment.

Seen the trailer for the Matchbox movie a few times now, and rather disappointed that there isn't some dramatic set piece on Hackney Marshes, by the old Lesney factory

All this worry about smart TVs and ovens being infected with AI worms. No one appears to have given a thought to the potential for a malevolent infestation of a smart toilet.

This Brexit fuckwit on #radio4 needs to get real. He helped fuck things up for small businesses, and it's about time he owned his colossal mistakes, instead of hiding behind a knife-edge vote a decade ago. Utter fuckwit.

Oh dear. Nick Robinson's still on his mission to destroy the Greens. Frankly, it's a shame they didn't kill the #r4today programme to save cash. #radio4

Talking about this ghastly execution, a friend mentioned Saddam Hussein. So, I googled, and thank to some demented SEO, this was near the top of the results, and offers a terrifying glimpse of the future.

In a civilised world, internet companies would be declaring, today, that they will not carry the live execution. More likely, over at Meta and X, they've already started their capacity planning.

Somehow, The Moral Maze persists. Presumably because it's pompous rightwing bloviating suits the times, where as Thinking Allowed is actually intellectual, and that doesn't suit the current mood. Truly, the vandals are in charge of the BBC. #radio4

Honestly, #radio4 you practically left Brendan O'contrary say "he's one of the good ones" Is there no racist talking point you won't air on #r4today ?

I see some morons on the internet are angry about a Diwali light display at Corfe Castle. If they'd popped on a bit of Jean-Michel Jarre and called it a "Son et Lumiere" show, I bet there wouldn't be any moaning. Funny, that.

Kemi Badenoch is apparently going to say in her speech that she's going to fight for the soul of the nation. I presume that's because she doesn't have one of her own.

Blimey... Just seen an ad for a 180g vinyl edition of Brothers in Arms. £90! Even though I have one of the best turntables, I think that's ridiculous.

Disaster at Brookfield as Ruth is late for dinner, after being stuck on the bypass on her way back from Pick of The Week #radio4 #TheArchers

"Creating fear and intimidation on British streets – this is not something we’ve seen in this country before" Really, Prime Minister? I've got a Mr Mosely on the line. He'd like a word.

Amongst other things, the determination of the Orange Order to intimidate reminds me of how much the term "Loyalist" grated. What the fuck are they loyal to, beyond their own selfish bigotry?

And, alongside the "patriots" crying about the RNLI, or the flag shaggers, it's also once again thuggish behaviour that's disingenuously given a far easier ride than protests from the left.

In his denunciation of Earl Spencer's book, Piers Morgan says "I come across in the most despicable manner imaginable" Quite possibly the first glimmer of self-awareness he's ever shown.

It would be nice if Burnham left his meeting with Trump and announced "Honestly, the man's a dick. I don't know how anyone puts up with him." But nah, let's carry on pretending we have a Special Relationship.

Anna there reminding me of my grandmother; after great-granny died, I remember her saying "I shall be interested to see how much the funeral cost; we couldn't have done it any cheaper" Gave me some insight into why my father turned out the way he did, at least. #TheArchers

Members of the RNLI are being urged to keep themselves safe from fascist bullies; at least one station is closed. Today, MPs are investigating our performance at Eurovision. Almost literally going "La la-la la" in the face of extremism.

Turned the radio on. Realised it was "The Moral Maze" on #radio4. Turned it off again. I would rather spend my evening doing colonoscopy prep than listening to that shit. And I don't even have a colonoscopy scheduled.
